Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade A, and why
auth scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 81 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Auth — Gantry Server
Pluggable role-based auth. Two roles only: admin (full access) and viewer (read-only). Full adapter config reference: docs/auth.md. This skill covers adapter internals, route classification, and the frontend gating that the reference doc doesn't.
Adapter factory: server/src/web/auth/index.ts::createAuthAdapter(authConfig)
Built from gantry.json's auth key ({ adapter: string, config?: object }). Resolution:
- No
authkey, oradapter: "loopback"→LoopbackAdapter(the documented default — admin only from127.0.0.1/::1). adapterstring matches a built-in name (switch statement) → that adapter.- Anything else → must start with
./(custom adapter, dynamicimport()of a local JS/TS module exporting a defaultAuthAdapter). Throws if it doesn't start with./— this is deliberate, to block arbitrary package imports fromgantry.json.
Built-in adapter names in code — more than the docs list. docs/auth.md and server/AGENTS.md document five: none, token, cloudflare-access, local-network, layered (plus the loopback default). The switch statement in index.ts also has two more, undocumented in docs/auth.md:
deny(adapters/deny.ts) —authenticate()always returnsnull(always viewer, never admin, no anonymous admin possible even on MCP/localhost bypass paths that don't apply here). Used internally as a fail-closed fallback concept (seeisExternallyAccessible()commentary inindex.ts), but is directly selectable via"adapter": "deny"too.domain(adapters/domain.ts) — grants admin by matching theHostheader againstadminDomains, but only if acf-access-jwt-assertionheader is also present (it doesn't validate the JWT itself, just requires evidence the request passed through Cloudflare's edge). The adapter's own doc comment says it "MUST NOT be used as a standalone auth mechanism" — it's designed to be composed inside another adapter after a real CF JWT check, not selected directly. Doc mismatch:docs/auth.md'slayeredsection describesadminDomainsas "an optional hint that annotates which Cloudflare tunnel the admin came through" — butlayered.ts's ownLayeredConfigcomment saysadminDomainsis "accepted but unused — domain auth requires a standalone domain adapter." Thelayeredadapter'sauthenticate()never readsadminDomainsat all; onlylocalNetworkRangesand Cloudflare fields matter. If you need domain-based gating, wire thedomainadapter explicitly (or write a custom one) —layeredalone will not do it despite whatadminDomainsin its config suggests.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

auth is a skill published in the GitHub repository geleynse/gantry (3 stars, last pushed 17d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 53 tokens to every session and 3,225 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
