music-prompt-engineer

music-prompt-engineer is a skill for Claude Code from GenRamzi/creative-agent-skills. It costs 47 tokens per session (668 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A guide for creating prompts and original song briefs for generative-music tools such as Suno. It helps describe a song's theme, genre, instruments, arrangement, vocals, structure, and unwanted elements.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan generated songs or instrumentals, define lyrics and sections, choose musical characteristics, improve a generation prompt, and specify exclusions.
Why use it?
It turns a broad musical idea into clearer instructions for a music generator. It also helps keep the result original instead of copying a living artist's exact style or recognizable material.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00047 $0.00668
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00334
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00134
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00067

Security

Grade A, and why

music-prompt-engineer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Music prompt engineer

Turn an emotional or narrative idea into an original, singable music brief. Separate style, lyrics, structure, and exclusions according to the selected product surface.

Establish the song brief

Identify:

  • Purpose and listening context.
  • Language, theme, point of view, and emotional arc.
  • Genre family and era without naming a living artist for imitation.
  • Energy, approximate tempo feel, groove, meter, and tonal mood.
  • Core instruments, arrangement density, and production texture.
  • Vocal presentation, register, ensemble, and delivery.
  • Target duration and song structure.
  • Whether the user wants instrumental music, generated lyrics, or supplied lyrics.
  • Unwanted instruments, genres, vocal traits, or production elements.

Load the Suno reference when that is the target.

Design original style direction

Translate artist-name requests into musical attributes: genre lineage, period, tempo feel, instrumentation, harmony, vocal texture, arrangement, production, and emotional arc. Do not copy a recognizable melody, lyric passage, signature vocal identity, or a living artist's exact style.

Prefer a compact combination of compatible traits. Resolve contradictions such as minimal acoustic plus huge orchestral wall by assigning them to different sections or offering variants.

Build the structure

Choose only sections the song needs. A useful pop structure may be:

intro → verse → pre-chorus → chorus → verse → chorus → bridge → final chorus → outro

For each section, define its narrative job and energy change. Make the chorus carry one memorable idea. Keep verse lines singable and avoid packing them with exposition.

When writing lyrics:

  • Use original imagery anchored in the chosen point of view.
  • Preserve natural stress and plausible breath length.
  • Favor a consistent rhyme strategy over forced perfect rhymes.
  • Repeat with purpose and vary the final chorus only when it advances the arc.
  • Match idiom and register to the requested language and region.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
