haiku-pickup is a skill for Claude Code from gigsmart/haiku-method. It costs 24 tokens per session (313 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A resume skill for H·AI·K·U intents, which are tracked pieces of work with an active stage.

In plain words
What is it for?
Finding the current intent, fetching its origin, restoring the in-progress branch, and running the next workflow action.
Why use it?
It restores the active stage and helps continue work after an interruption.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00024 $0.00313
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00156
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00031

Security

Grade A, and why

haiku-pickup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Resume an Intent

Process

  1. Advance the lifecycle — Call haiku_run_next { pickup: true }. The pickup: true flag tells the engine to fetch origin and materialize the active stage branch locally so the in-flight unit work is recoverable. The workflow engine also resolves the intent automatically:

    • If you're on a haiku/<slug>/main or haiku/<slug>/<stage> branch → uses that slug.
    • If there's exactly one active intent on disk → uses it.
    • If there are multiple and no branch match → the tool returns the list of slugs for you to disambiguate, then re-call with haiku_run_next { intent: "<slug>", pickup: true }.
  2. Follow the instructions — The tool returns the next action and detailed instructions. Execute them.

Notes

  • If no active intents exist, suggest starting a new one with /haiku:haiku-start
  • The haiku_run_next tool handles all workflow engine logic AND intent resolution — no intent-list call needed in the common case.
  • The pickup hint at the top of the response names the active stage branch. Run git switch <branch> only if you want to inspect in-flight unit work directly; the engine drives the workflow from intent main and doesn't need you on the stage branch.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
