gke-multitenancy

gke-multitenancy is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from gke-labs/kube-agents. It costs 93 tokens per session (1,463 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of gke-multitenancy, Apache-2.0.

A planning and configuration workflow for letting multiple teams or environments share one Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cluster. It uses Kubernetes namespaces, access roles, resource limits, network rules, and cost tracking to separate their workloads.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design team or environment namespaces, plan least-privilege access, set CPU and memory quotas, apply network isolation, and allocate cluster costs across teams or projects.
Why use it?
It helps prevent teams sharing a cluster from accessing or consuming each other's resources by accident. It also makes the chosen level of isolation, complexity, and cost explicit.

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00093 $0.01463
Opus 5.5 $0.00037 $0.00585

Security

Grade A, and why

gke-multitenancy scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

GKE Multi-Tenancy

This reference covers enterprise multi-tenancy patterns on GKE, including namespace isolation, RBAC planning, resource quotas, and network segmentation.

MCP Tools: get_k8s_resource, check_k8s_auth, describe_k8s_resource

A change goes out as a pull request to the GitOps repository, never as a write from here: Kubernetes objects as YAML through gke-manifest-generation, cluster settings and other Google Cloud resources as Config Connector YAML through gcp-config-connector, opened with submit-suggestion. Each profile's config offers only the gke MCP server's read tools, and the broker refuses kubectl and gcloud writes.

When to Use

  • Multiple teams sharing a single GKE cluster
  • Isolating workloads by environment (dev/staging/prod) within one cluster
  • Implementing least-privilege access control
  • Cost allocation across teams or projects

Namespace-per-environment Soft Low Low

Cluster-per-team Hard (full High Highest

Golden path recommendation: Start with namespace-per-team for cost efficiency. Escalate to stronger isolation only when compliance requires it.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

gke-multitenancy is a skill published in the GitHub repository gke-labs/kube-agents (116 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 93 tokens to every session and 1,463 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. It is 100% identical to gke-multitenancy, differing in 53 lines, and is treated as a copy.
