openshell-dashboard: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/dev-workflow/SKILL.md

dev-workflow is a skill for Claude Code from Gkrumbach07/openshell-dashboard. It costs 44 tokens per session (557 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A development workflow for the OpenShell Dashboard that covers implementing changes and checking them with linting, type checks, tests, and browser verification for user-interface work. It includes separate guidance for the frontend and backend.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add features, fix bugs, or make code changes in the OpenShell Dashboard, including validating React frontend and Go backend work.
Why use it?
It gives contributors the project's required coding and architecture rules before they edit code. Running the listed checks helps catch formatting, type, logic, and integration problems.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00044 $0.00557
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00223
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00111
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00056

Measured 24d ago against content hash 3796492fa767, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

dev-workflow scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 24d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Dev Workflow

Before coding

  1. Read the relevant docs if unsure about architecture:

    • CLAUDE.md — project structure, architecture rules with ADR links
    • docs/adrs/ — Architecture Decision Records
    • .claude/rules/openshell-api.md — how to read the OpenShell Go SDK's surface, and the hard facts about the gateway's API
  2. Check if the change touches the BFF, frontend, or both.

Implement

  • Follow rules in .claude/rules/ (react.md, bff-go.md, openshell-api.md, security.md)
  • Page components are self-contained: explicit props, data through the src/api/ hooks
  • BFF handlers reach the OpenShell Go SDK through an injected pkg/services interface (h.svc), never a raw client. The exceptions are three direct gRPC calls in pkg/clients, each for a named gap in the SDK: rawexec.go (binary-safe uploads), rawprovider.go with rawprovider_allworkspaces.go (the keys of a provider's credentials) and rawprofile.go (provider profiles)

Verify

Run in order, fix failures before proceeding:

make lint # eslint + Prettier check + golangci-lint (v2, built with Go 1.26.7 or newer)
make typecheck # tsc --noEmit
make test # jest + go test

Or individually:

# Frontend
(cd frontend && npm run lint && npm run format:check && npm run typecheck && npm test)

# Backend. The linter is run at the version CI uses, whatever is installed.
(cd backend && GOTOOLCHAIN=go1.26.7 go run github.com/golangci/golangci-lint/v2/cmd/[email protected] run ./... && go test ./...)

For UI changes

Start the gateway and the dev server, and verify in a browser:

make gateway # the pinned OpenShell gateway, in Docker, until make dev-down
make dev # http://localhost:3000, without sign-in; make dev-full for sign-in

Check: does the page load? Does the data display? Do actions (create, delete) work? Are error states handled?

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
