meta-ad-manager

meta-ad-manager is a skill for Codex from gooseworks-ai/goose-skills. It costs 108 tokens per session (5,265 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A campaign coordinator for Meta ads tracks which stage a campaign is in and sends the work to the matching stage, such as intake, strategy, creative work, launch, checks, or fixes. Meta is the advertising system behind Facebook and Instagram.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it as the entry point for starting an ad campaign, finding its current status, or continuing scheduled checks and fixes.
Why use it?
It keeps campaign progress and decisions in the brand's documents so users do not have to repeat earlier information.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00108 $0.05265
Opus 5.5 $0.00043 $0.02106
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00022 $0.01053
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00526

Security

Grade A, and why

meta-ad-manager scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (contract/tests/test_validate.py, contract/validate.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Meta Ad Manager

What this is for. Someone says "I want to run ads on Meta", or comes back a week later and says "where are we?", or a scheduled check wakes up. This skill works out where things stand from the brand's ad docs, picks the next step, hands it to the skill that does that step, and writes down what happened and why. It never makes the user repeat themselves.

It does not do the stage work itself. Intake, strategy, making creatives, launching, checking and fixing each belong to their own skill. This skill decides which one runs, sets the tone, and keeps the docs true.

The docs contract is law. How to read and write the files and the rules for numbers are in contract/RULES.md. The file shapes are in contract/templates/, and contract/validate.py checks a folder. Read RULES.md before your first write.

Where this skill's files are

Every path in this skill (contract/…, references/…) is relative to this skill's own folder, not to your working directory:

Installed by This skill's folder
GooseWorks (the in-app coworker) agent-config/skills/meta-ad-manager/ in the workspace
The goose-skills installer the folder the installer printed; in Claude Code, wherever you placed it (for example .claude/skills/meta-ad-manager/)

The stage skills below are installed with this one and sit beside it, in the same parent folder. ads/ itself is never inside a skill folder.

Choose one mode

Use the first mode that is available, and read its adapter before Step 1:

  1. GooseWorks when the GooseWorks tools are callable (the in-app coworker, or any agent with the GooseWorks MCP). Read references/gooseworks-adapter.md.
  2. Direct Meta when there is no GooseWorks, but a Meta access token and ad account are available. Read references/direct-meta-adapter.md.
  3. Planning only when neither is available. Read references/planning-only.md. Intake, strategy and the creative brief still work; nothing is read from or written to Meta.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
