slides.lint

slides.lint is a skill for Claude Code from gpsaggese/helpers. It costs 9 tokens per session (273 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A rule-checking workflow for slide files that processes a chosen number of slides at a time and waits for review between groups.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for applying project formatting conventions incrementally and verifying the final rendered slides.
Why use it?
It makes large slide cleanups easier to inspect instead of changing the whole deck in one unreviewed pass.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00009 $0.00273
Opus 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00109
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00002 $0.00055
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00027

Security

Grade A, and why

slides.lint scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Goal

  • The user passes:
    • <FILE>: a pointer to a file storing slides
    • <NUM_SLIDES>: number of slides to fix at a time (default: 5). The user can ask to fix all slides in one shot
  • Fix the slides in <FILE>, <NUM_SLIDES> at a time, so the user can review each chunk

Workflow

  • Read .claude/skills/slides.rules.md

Process Slides

  • Process <NUM_SLIDES> slides at a time from <FILE>
    • Each slide is a chunk of text starting with * <TITLE>
  • Find the rules in .claude/skills/slides.rules.md that the current slides break
  • Apply changes so the slides follow the rules

Wait for Confirmation

  • Wait for the user to confirm before moving on to the next chunk of <NUM_SLIDES> slides

Verification

  • Once all chunks of <FILE> are processed, make sure the slides render correctly, e.g.,
    > gen_slides.py -i <FILE> --notes_to_pdf_args="--skip_action open_pdf"

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
