ras-commander: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/qa-rasmapper-web-parity/SKILL.md

qa-rasmapper-web-parity is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from gpt-cmdr/ras-commander. It costs 76 tokens per session (662 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for comparing a HEC-RAS map shown in RASMapper with the same model shown in a web viewer. It captures matching desktop and mobile evidence and checks map layers, legends, extents, missing-data areas, and numeric values.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for creating repeatable visual-regression evidence, checking layer and legend fidelity, testing desktop and mobile views, and reviewing comparison reports and images.
Why use it?
It helps find differences between the desktop model viewer and its web version before relying on the web display for review or reporting.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00076 $0.00662
Opus 5 $0.00038 $0.00331
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00132
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00066

Security

Grade A, and why

qa-rasmapper-web-parity scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/rasmapper_web_parity.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

RASMapper Web Parity

Use one YAML/JSON review specification for both capture surfaces. Keep map, tree, legend, semantic assertions, and numeric probes as separate evidence channels.

Workflow

  1. Read references/review-spec.md and validate project, manifest, CRS, layer IDs, profiles, viewport sizes, crop regions, and numeric probes.
  2. Copy the source project to the review output. Never configure the original .rasmap.
  3. Run scripts/rasmapper_web_parity.py rasmapper SPEC OUTPUT on a Windows HEC-RAS host.
  4. Run scripts/rasmapper_web_parity.py web SPEC OUTPUT where Python Playwright and Chromium are installed, or use the in-app browser at the exact specified desktop/mobile viewports.
  5. Run scripts/rasmapper_web_parity.py compare SPEC OUTPUT after all images exist.
  6. Inspect comparison.json, findings.md, contact-sheet.png, and region images.

Capture Contract

  • RASMapper: call RasMap.create_spatial_review_package() with fixed outer-window dimensions, selected plan/layer, terrain, range/ramp, RAS version, and matching web manifest metadata.
  • Web: wait for window.__rasCommanderViewerInstances, apply WGS84 bounds and manifest layer state through that QA hook, enable every declared extent-colored raster, wait for MapLibre and all raster styling to become idle, require a content-only semantic tree with one disclosure control per collapsible node, then capture page, map, tree, and active legend separately at desktop and mobile sizes.
  • Comparison: crop only declared RASMapper regions; normalize dimensions; report global SSIM, normalized mean absolute error, and a diff image. Do not use full desktop chrome as a golden.
  • Numeric probes: sample authoritative numeric COGs with rasterio and compare to explicit expected values/tolerances. Never infer numeric correctness from image colors.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
