aiws-sdd-test-generation

aiws-sdd-test-generation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from grojof/ai-workspace-generator. It costs 45 tokens per session (423 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A tool that turns the tests described in a software specification into test files or a browser smoke-test checklist. Tests are checks that confirm code behaves as intended.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after code generation to create pytest unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for Python apps, or an operation-by-operation checklist for browser-only apps.
Why use it?
It converts written test requirements into concrete files and checks that the generated tests can be collected, without changing the application code or inventing extra checks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.00423
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00211
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00085
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00042

Security

Grade A, and why

aiws-sdd-test-generation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

aiws-sdd-test-generation — spec §5 Tests → a real suite

Turn each operation's Tests block (§5) into concrete artifacts. Pattern reference: a PYTEST_PATTERNS.md (external; supply your own, load on demand).

Pre-flight

  • Locate the active spec ({{paths.specs}}/); reject draft/retired.
  • Require generated code to exist (Profile A: use-cases module; Profile B: ≥1 operation module). Else route to aiws-sdd-code-generation.
  • Read the prior test record for incremental scope; mark recorded files CLEAN / HAND-EDITED / MISSING.

Generate

  • Profile A: pytest under tests/{unit,integration,e2e}/ mapped from the test-name hints (route happy/ error path, use-case unit, repository integration, lifecycle, external-client with httpx.MockTransport). Shared fixtures + a [tool.coverage] block at fail_under = 70 (TECH-A-013); add only dev-deps used (pytest, pytest-asyncio, coverage[toml]). Verify with pytest --collect-only; roll back un-collectable files.
  • Profile B: append a structured <h2>-per-operation checklist to tests/smoke.test.html; verify it parses.

Boundaries

Does not execute tests, modify source, or invent assertions (provides scaffolding; the user fills unique assertions). Record the run in {{paths.changes}}/<change>/. Hand off to aiws-sdd-self-review.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
