baoyu-image-gen

baoyu-image-gen is a skill for Claude Code from guanyang/open-agent-hub. It costs 107 tokens per session (4,544 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of baoyu-image-gen, MIT.

An AI image-generation tool that creates pictures from text descriptions and can use reference images. It connects to several image-generation services and can produce multiple images from saved prompts.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create images from text, guide results with reference images, choose image proportions, and generate batches of images. The exact available providers depend on the configured service.
Why use it?
It lets you work with different image providers through one workflow and reuse prompts, instead of handling each provider separately.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00107 $0.04544
Opus 5.5 $0.00043 $0.01818
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00021 $0.00909
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00454

Security

Grade A, and why

baoyu-image-gen scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 36 executable files (scripts/build-batch.test.ts, scripts/build-batch.ts, scripts/codex-imagegen/cache.ts, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

User Input Tools

When this skill prompts the user, follow this tool-selection rule (priority order):

  1. Prefer built-in user-input tools exposed by the current agent runtime — e.g., AskUserQuestion, request_user_input, clarify, ask_user, or any equivalent.
  2. Fallback: if no such tool exists, emit a numbered plain-text message and ask the user to reply with the chosen number/answer for each question.
  3. Batching: if the tool supports multiple questions per call, combine all applicable questions into a single call; if only single-question, ask them one at a time in priority order.

Concrete AskUserQuestion references below are examples — substitute the local equivalent in other runtimes.

Script Directory

{baseDir} = this SKILL.md's directory; scripts/... paths are relative to it. Main script: {baseDir}/scripts/main.ts. Batch payload helper: {baseDir}/scripts/build-batch.ts. Resolve ${BUN_X}: prefer bun; else npx -y bun; else suggest brew install oven-sh/bun/bun.

Step 0: Load Preferences (blocking)

No image generation until EXTEND.md exists. Check in order; first hit wins:

Path Scope
.baoyu-skills/baoyu-image-gen/EXTEND.md Project
${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-$HOME/.config}/baoyu-skills/baoyu-image-gen/EXTEND.md XDG
$HOME/.baoyu-skills/baoyu-image-gen/EXTEND.md User home
  • Found → load and apply. If default_model.[provider] is null → ask model only.
  • Not found → run first-time setup (references/config/first-time-setup.md) via AskUserQuestion to collect provider + model + quality + save location. Save EXTEND.md, then continue.

Legacy: if .baoyu-skills/baoyu-imagine/EXTEND.md exists and the new path doesn't, the runtime renames it to baoyu-image-gen. If both exist, the runtime leaves them alone and uses the new path.

EXTEND.md keys: default provider, quality, aspect ratio, image size, OpenAI image API dialect, default models, batch worker cap, provider-specific batch limits. Schema: references/config/preferences-schema.md.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
