Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00072 $0.02160
Opus 5 $0.00036 $0.01080
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00432
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00216

Security

Grade A, and why

baoyu-url-to-markdown scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 41 executable files (scripts/lib/adapters/generic/index.ts, scripts/lib/adapters/hn/index.ts, scripts/lib/adapters/index.ts, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 172 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

URL to Markdown

Fetches any URL via baoyu-fetch CLI (Chrome CDP + site-specific adapters) and converts it to clean markdown.

User Input Tools

When this skill prompts the user, follow this tool-selection rule (priority order):

  1. Prefer built-in user-input tools exposed by the current agent runtime — e.g., AskUserQuestion, request_user_input, clarify, ask_user, or any equivalent.
  2. Fallback: if no such tool exists, emit a numbered plain-text message and ask the user to reply with the chosen number/answer for each question.
  3. Batching: if the tool supports multiple questions per call, combine all applicable questions into a single call; if only single-question, ask them one at a time in priority order.

Concrete AskUserQuestion references below are examples — substitute the local equivalent in other runtimes.

CLI Setup

Important: The CLI source is vendored in {baseDir}/scripts/lib. scripts/package.json installs only third-party runtime dependencies.

Agent Execution Instructions:

  1. Determine this SKILL.md file's directory path as {baseDir}
  2. Resolve ${BUN} runtime: if bun installed → bun; else suggest installing Bun
  3. If {baseDir}/scripts/node_modules does not exist, run ${BUN} install --cwd {baseDir}/scripts
  4. ${READER} = {baseDir}/scripts/baoyu-fetch
  5. Replace all ${READER} in this document with the resolved value

Preferences (EXTEND.md)

Check EXTEND.md in priority order — the first one found wins:

2 ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-$HOME/.config}/baoyu-skills/baoyu-url-to-markdown/EXTEND.md XDG
3 $HOME/.baoyu-skills/baoyu-url-to-markdown/EXTEND.md User home

Not found MUST run first-time setup (see below) — do NOT silently create defaults

EXTEND.md supports: download media by default, default output directory.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
