prompt-contract-judge

prompt-contract-judge is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from GuilhemBusset/agentic-or-workshop. It costs 26 tokens per session (574 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A review tool for checking one prompt against a defined contract. It uses a language model to score completeness, ambiguity, verification readiness, and rework risk, with evidence for its findings.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to evaluate a prompt, compare how judging settings change the result, and get evidence-based rewrite suggestions.
Why use it?
It helps reveal missing requirements and unclear instructions before a prompt is used. This reduces avoidable rewrites and makes the expected result easier to check.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00026 $0.00574
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00230
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00115
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00057

Security

Grade A, and why

prompt-contract-judge scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Prompt Contract Judge Skill

Use this skill to evaluate a single prompt contract with tunable judging parameters.

Trigger

Activate when the user asks to:

  • evaluate one prompt for quality/ambiguity/verification,
  • compare how parameter changes affect judgment,
  • generate actionable rewrite guidance with evidence.

Required input fields

  • prompt_text
  • stage (generic | lp | mip)
  • mode (single | team | review)
  • specificity_bias (0-100)
  • thinking_effort (low | medium | high)
  • strictness (relaxed | standard | strict)
  • evidence_depth (minimal | standard | detailed)
  • requirements booleans for contract expectations

Required output contract

Return JSON with:

  • completeness (0-100)
  • ambiguity_risk (0-100)
  • verification_readiness (0-100)
  • rework_risk (0-100)
  • summary
  • parameter_effects (array)
  • coverage object
    • goal_clarity
    • allowed_context
    • forbidden_context
    • output_schema
    • acceptance_checks
    • failure_handling
  • blocking_issues (array)
  • improvement_actions (array)
  • evidence (array of finding + excerpt)
  • confidence (low | medium | high)

Judging rules

  1. Judge the single prompt text directly, not relative to a baseline.
  2. Penalize unresolved terms such as "best" without a metric.
  3. Respect strictness and specificity_bias when assigning severity.
  4. If a required contract element is missing, emit a blocking issue.
  5. Respect evidence_depth when choosing evidence count:
  • minimal: 1-2 excerpts
  • standard: 3-5 excerpts
  • detailed: 6-8 excerpts
  1. If assumptions are inferred, cap confidence at medium.

Execution checklist

  1. Parse and validate all required input fields.
  2. Evaluate coverage booleans strictly from prompt text content.
  3. Compute the four scores consistently with strictness/specificity settings.
  4. Emit blocking issues only for concrete, contract-relevant gaps.
  5. Provide actionable improvement actions tied to detected gaps.
  6. Return schema-valid JSON only, with no extra keys or prose.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
