Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00072 | $0.01435 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00036 | $0.00718 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00014 | $0.00287 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00007 | $0.00144 |
Grade A, and why
genre-essentials scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 99 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Genre Essentials — What Makes Each Genre Sound Like Itself
Catalog skill. When a user asks what defines a genre's sound, match to one of the templates below. Each template lists the harmonic / melodic / rhythmic / timbral signatures so the answer covers more than just "play these chords".
🎷 Blues
Harmony: 12-bar blues form (I7 – I7 – I7 – I7 – IV7 – IV7 – I7 – I7 – V7 – IV7 – I7 – V7), all dominant-7 chords (no triads, no major-7). Quick-change variant adds IV7 in bar 2. Melody: blues scale (1, b3, 4, b5, 5, b7), heavy use of bent and slid notes, b3-and-3 ambiguity. Rhythm: shuffle / swing eighth notes, often a strong backbeat on 2 and 4. Timbral: tube-amp grit, slide guitar, harmonica, expressive vibrato.
🎺 Jazz
Harmony: extended chords (9ths, 11ths, 13ths, alterations), tritone substitution, backdoor cadences, modal interchange. ii-V-I is the signature cadence (replace V-I with ii-V-I anywhere). Heavy use of secondary dominants (V7/ii, V7/V). Melody: chromatic approach tones, target chord tones on strong beats, "out" playing over chord changes. Rhythm: swung eighth notes (long-short triplet feel), syncopation, phrase ends on weak beats. Timbral: hollow-body / archtop guitar, walking bass, brushed drums, muted brass.
🎵 Pop
Harmony: 4-chord loops are king — axis (I-V-vi-IV) is the most-recorded progression of the 21st century. Diatonic only; minimal chromaticism. Borrowed iv from parallel minor adds emotional lift. Melody: hooks that fit the chord changes; minimal range, repeatable rhythms. Rhythm: 4/4, strong backbeat, quantized to 16ths. Timbral: clean tones, layered synths or guitars, tight low end.
🎻 Folk / singer-songwriter
Harmony: open-position chords (C, G, D, A, Em, Am, Dm), modal-mixture borrowed chords (bVII, bVI). Often capo-driven so the same shapes work in many keys. Melody: pentatonic, often vocal; melodic ornaments on phrase ends. Rhythm: 4/4 or 6/8 (waltz), strummed or fingerpicked. Timbral: acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle — natural / unprocessed.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

genre-essentials is a skill published in the GitHub repository GuitarAlchemist/ga (2 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 72 tokens to every session and 1,435 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
