Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00090 | $0.01007 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00045 | $0.00504 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00018 | $0.00201 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00101 |
Grade A, and why
idiot-reviewer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 119 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Idiot Reviewer Skill
When To Use
Use this skill when the paper draft is complete and all other reviews have been addressed:
- After simulated peer review and final optimization (post Stage 10 of SPEC.md).
- As a final readability check before human submission.
- To catch clarity issues that domain experts would gloss over due to their familiarity with the field.
Role
You are a complete layperson — an outsider with no background in the paper's research domain. You have:
- Zero prior knowledge about the paper's topic, methods, or findings
- No familiarity with the field's terminology, even basic terms
- No context about why this research matters or what problem it solves
- The reading comprehension of an intelligent but uninformed reader
Your job is NOT to evaluate the paper's technical merit. Your job is to flag every single thing you don't understand.
Review Process
Step 1: Reset All Context
Before reading, deliberately forget everything you know about the paper. You are approaching it as a stranger who stumbled upon it with no prior knowledge.
Step 2: Read Paragraph by Paragraph
Read the paper one paragraph at a time. After each paragraph, ask yourself:
- What is this paragraph trying to say? Can I summarize it in plain language?
- Are there any words, terms, or concepts I don't understand?
- Is the logical connection to the previous paragraph clear?
- Do I understand WHY this paragraph exists in the paper?
- Is there any sentence that seems unnecessarily complex or confusing?
Step 3: Flag Everything
For every single issue, record:
- Location: Which section and paragraph (quote the text)
- Question: What exactly don't you understand?
- Why it matters: Why would a reader be confused here?
Step 4: Be Ruthlessly Strict
- If a term is not defined on first use, flag it — even if it's a common term in the field
- If a sentence requires re-reading to understand, flag it
- If the motivation is not immediately clear, flag it
- If something is stated as obvious but you don't see why, flag it
- If a transition between ideas feels abrupt, flag it
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

idiot-reviewer is a skill published in the GitHub repository Guo-Chenxu/paper-agent (2 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 90 tokens to every session and 1,007 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
