harness-agent-assets

harness-agent-assets is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from guyuefangyuanl/deepseek-better-harness. It costs 59 tokens per session (216 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for auditing the tools, instructions, presets, hooks, commands, and other assets that control how coding agents discover and route work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect agent configurations and skills, verify links and schemas, check discovery and loading, and review approval or cleanup boundaries.
Why use it?
It helps distinguish assets that merely exist from those that load and work correctly, while identifying routing errors, unsafe behaviour, and ownership conflicts.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00059 $0.00216
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00108
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00043
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00022

Security

Grade A, and why

harness-agent-assets scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Harness Agent Assets

Review configured Agent assets as executable routing and control surfaces.

  1. Resolve the host, scope, asset roots, and precedence before counting assets.
  2. Inventory only supported asset types and distinguish configured, discovered, loadable, enabled, and actually exercised states.
  3. Validate names, routing descriptions, links, schemas, referenced files, duplicate ownership, and teardown or approval boundaries where applicable.
  4. Treat zero or high counts as navigation facts, not findings by themselves.
  5. Report an issue only when evidence ties the asset defect to wrong routing, unsafe behavior, failed loading, stale instructions, or user friction.

Read references/agent-assets-contract.md for scope and integrity rules.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
