Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00111 | $0.04702 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00044 | $0.01881 |

Grade A, and why
hpsilab-quant-research scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 179 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
HPSILab Quant Research
This skill tells you when and how to use the HPSILab Quant Finance MCP tools (package version 0.11.0). The server exposes 9 research tools and 1 account tool. Each research tool takes one US-listed stock or ETF ticker per call and returns a JSON object. The tools do not connect to a broker and cannot place, modify, or cancel orders.
Before you start
Check that the HPSILab tools are available (for example analyze_stock, get_iv_radar). If they are missing, tell the user to connect the server and stop. Do not invent results.
- Remote endpoint (recommended):
https://hpsilab.com/mcp, with the headerAuthorization: Bearer hpsi_your_key. - Local stdio: run
uvx hpsilab-quant-finance-mcpwith theHPSILAB_API_KEYenvironment variable set. - Every research tool requires a valid API key. A user without one can register at https://hpsilab.com/register and generate a key in Settings, or ask you to register them with
register_account(see below), which is the only tool that works without a key.
API key rules:
- Never ask the user to paste an API key into the chat.
- Never print, repeat, or summarize a real key, even partly. This includes the
api_keyfield returned byregister_account. Tell the user the key was returned in the tool result and should go into their client's secret configuration asHPSILAB_API_KEY. - Never write a key into files, commands, URLs, or logs. Use
hpsi_your_keyor${HPSILAB_API_KEY}as placeholders.
Choosing a tool
Pass an official uppercase ticker such as NVDA, AAPL, SPY, QQQ, or BRK.B (pattern ^[A-Z][A-Z0-9.-]{0,15}$). Convert company names to tickers yourself ("Nvidia" becomes NVDA). If the ticker is ambiguous, ask the user.

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
- 3d ago First seen · 179 lines · 111 tokens per session scan A 07987618dc32
hpsilab-quant-research is a skill published in the GitHub repository haiyunsky/hpsilab-quant-finance-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 111 tokens to every session and 4,702 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-14.
