Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00052 | $0.00679 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00021 | $0.00272 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00136 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00005 | $0.00068 |
Grade A, and why
shadcn-ui scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 70 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Overview
Install, compose, and theme shadcn/ui components. Supports interactive use, programmatic invocation, and orchestrated workflows. Uses the shadcn CLI for registry search, component docs, and installation.
Prerequisites
components.jsonmust exist in the project root (Next.js with Tailwind CSS)npx shadcn@latestCLI available
Step 1: Discovery
- Read
components.jsonto understand the project's shadcn configuration - Identify which components are already installed
- Determine what new components are needed for the requested feature
- Use the shadcn CLI to search the registry and browse available components/blocks
- Check for custom registry or extended components
Step 2: Search & Plan
- Use the shadcn CLI to search for required components and read their docs
- Identify component dependencies (e.g., Dialog needs Button)
- Plan installation order (dependencies first)
- Check for conflicts with existing components
Step 2.5: Blocks & External Registry
Before installing primitives, check if a pre-built block covers the feature:
- shadcn blocks: login (01-05), dashboard (01-07), sidebar (01-16), charts, calendar —
npx shadcn@latest add <block> --yes - Magic UI: 150+ animated components —
npx shadcn@latest add "https://magicui.design/r/<name>" --yes - Aceternity: 100+ decorative components — copy from https://ui.aceternity.com
See references/frontend/block-sources.md for archetype affinity and section-to-block mappings.
Step 3: Install
- Install components using
npx shadcn@latest add <component>(CLI is still the install mechanism) - Verify each component is added correctly
- Check that imports resolve
Step 4: Compose
- Build the requested feature by composing installed components
- Follow project's component file structure
- Add proper TypeScript types and props
- Ensure accessibility (keyboard nav, aria labels, focus management)
Step 5: Theme (Conditional)
Only if theme changes are requested.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

shadcn-ui is a skill published in the GitHub repository hamzaPixl/pixl-ai (2 stars, last pushed 6mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 52 tokens to every session and 679 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
