heurist-finance: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/bond-data/SKILL.md

bond-data is a skill for Claude Code from heurist-network/heurist-finance. It costs 98 tokens per session (1,545 once invoked), scanned C, original, MIT.

A data-collection guide for corporate bonds and related market measures. It explains where to find the bond's original terms, current prices and yields, Treasury and credit-spread data, market breadth, and limited credit-default-swap information.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to look up issuance terms, current bond prices and yields, Treasury comparisons, corporate spreads, market breadth, and available credit-default-swap news.
Why use it?
Bond information is split across several sources, and each source has limitations or delays. The guide reduces the risk of treating one incomplete feed as a complete picture of a company's debt market.

Skill for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: installed under .claude/.

This is heurist-network/heurist-finance's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on heurist-finance itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything heurist-finance configures →

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is p=$(uv run python scripts/hf_tool.py document "<url>" | python3 -c "import json,sys;print(json.load(sys.stdin)['full_text_path'])").

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00098 $0.01545
Opus 5.5 $0.00039 $0.00618
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00020 $0.00309
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00154

Measured 13d ago against content hash 45aba9867eb7, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade C, and why

bond-data scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Bond data

There is no single bond feed. Combine the five sources below. Run from the repo root.

1. Terms at issue: SEC term sheets (primary)

The coupon, yield, spread and size at sale are in the pricing term sheet, form FWP (sometimes a 424B2 instead).

# list FWPs (10-digit zero-padded CIK; META=1326801, GOOGL=1652044, AMZN=1018724, MSFT=789019, ORCL=1341439)
curl -sS -H "User-Agent: research [email protected]" https://data.sec.gov/submissions/CIK0001326801.json \
 | python3 -c "import json,sys;d=json.load(sys.stdin)['filings']['recent'];[print(d['filingDate'][i],d['accessionNumber'][i],d['primaryDocument'][i]) for i,f in enumerate(d['form']) if f in('FWP','424B2')]"
# read one: URL = https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/<cik>/<accession without dashes>/<primaryDocument>
p=$(uv run python scripts/hf_tool.py document "<url>" | python3 -c "import json,sys;print(json.load(sys.stdin)['full_text_path'])")
tr -s ' \n' ' ' < "$p" | grep -oE "(Trade Date|Yield to Maturity|Spread to Benchmark Treasury|Aggregate Principal Amount)[^|]{0,40}\|[^|]{0,20}\|[^|]{0,500}"

2. Price and yield now: TradingView bond scanner (FINRA TRACE, 4h delay)

Keep the rows where exchange is FINRA. Their prices are TRACE trades, delayed 4 hours (update_mode = delayed_streaming_14400). last_bar_update_time is a Unix timestamp. Other exchanges are European listings of the same bond.

curl -sS -X POST https://scanner.tradingview.com/bond/scan -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Origin: https://www.tradingview.com" \
 -d '{"filter":[{"left":"bond_issuer","operation":"match","right":"Oracle"},{"left":"exchange","operation":"equal","right":"FINRA"},{"left":"maturity_date","operation":"greater","right":20450101}],
      "columns":["description","isin","close","yield_to_worst","volume","last_bar_update_time"],
      "sort":{"sortBy":"maturity_date","sortOrder":"asc"},"range":[0,50]}'
  • The issuer name must match TradingView's spelling: "Meta Platforms", "Alphabet", "Amazon.com", "Microsoft", "Oracle". range pages through results 50 at a time.
  • Non-USD bonds (for example Alphabet's sterling 2126) carry no FINRA row. Use the row without FINRA and note the venue.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

bond-data is a skill published in the GitHub repository heurist-network/heurist-finance (11 stars, last pushed 14d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 98 tokens to every session and 1,545 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it C with 2 findings (downloads and executes remote code, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-24.
