CS2_VibeSignatures: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/cleanup-workspace/SKILL.md

cleanup-workspace is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from HLND2T/CS2_VibeSignatures. It costs 95 tokens per session (1,178 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A post-merge Git cleanup procedure for a development branch, which is a separate line of code work, after it has been merged into the main branch. It checks the branch and workspace before removing local and remote copies.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after a pull request from a development branch has merged into origin/main and you want to update main and remove the old branches.
Why use it?
It prevents accidental branch deletion, avoids discarding uncommitted work, and ensures cleanup happens only after the changes are safely merged.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00095 $0.01178
Opus 5 $0.00048 $0.00589
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00236
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00118

Security

Grade A, and why

cleanup-workspace scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Cleanup Workspace

Post-merge housekeeping: verify the active dev branch landed in main, then prune it locally and on origin.

When to Use

After a pull request authored on a dev* branch has been merged into main and the user wants to return the workspace to a clean state on the updated main branch.

Safety Rules

  • NEVER delete a branch that is not fully merged into origin/main. If the merge check fails, STOP immediately and report to the user — do not pass -D to force delete.
  • NEVER run on main itself. If the current branch is main, abort with a clear message.
  • NEVER discard uncommitted changes. If the working tree is dirty, abort and ask the user to commit or stash first.
  • The remote name is assumed to be origin. If origin is not present, abort and ask the user which remote to use.

Method

Step 1 — Capture state and validate preconditions

Run these checks in parallel:

git rev-parse --abbrev-ref HEAD # current branch name
git status --porcelain # must be empty (clean working tree)
git remote # must contain 'origin'

Abort with a clear message if:

  • Current branch is main (nothing to clean up).
  • git status --porcelain is non-empty (uncommitted changes).
  • origin remote does not exist.

Save the current branch name as DEV_BRANCH for later steps.

Step 2 — Fetch latest refs and verify merge status

git fetch origin --prune

Then check whether every commit on DEV_BRANCH is reachable from origin/main:

git merge-base --is-ancestor <DEV_BRANCH> origin/main
  • Exit code 0 → branch is fully merged. Proceed to Step 3.
  • Exit code 1 → branch has commits not in origin/main. STOP and report to the user:
    • Show the unmerged commits: git log --oneline origin/main..<DEV_BRANCH>
    • Tell the user the branch is not merged and the skill will not delete it.
    • Do not continue to subsequent steps.

Step 3 — Switch to main and pull

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
