create-pr

create-pr is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from HLND2T/CS2_VibeSignatures. It costs 57 tokens per session (1,923 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A procedure for creating one GitHub pull request from staged changes or from an existing committed branch. A pull request is a request for other developers to review and merge code into the main branch.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to deliver staged changes or an already-committed development branch as a pull request, optionally linked to a GitHub issue.
Why use it?
It packages the intended source changes without rewriting unrelated work and leaves validation to the repository's pull-request workflow. It supports committing, pushing, and creating the request with suitable details.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00057 $0.01923
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00962
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00385
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00192

Security

Grade A, and why

create-pr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 193 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Create Pull Request

Create one pull request using exactly one delivery mode:

  • staged-delivery — commit the caller's explicitly staged source changes, push a dev* branch, and create the PR.
  • committed-branch — push an existing clean non-main branch that is ahead of origin/main, without rewriting or supplementing its commits.

Both modes preserve the captured source change set. The PR workflow independently selects its validation path after the PR exists; this skill neither predicts nor influences that routing.

Inputs

  • gamever — optional descriptive value for the PR body. Never resolve or require it for local delivery.
  • branch — optional dev* branch name for staged-delivery. If omitted on main, derive dev-<topic> from the staged change. Ignore it in committed-branch.
  • commit_title — optional Conventional Commit title for staged-delivery.
  • pr_title / pr_body — optional PR text. Otherwise derive truthful text from the delivered diff and caller-supplied test results.
  • issue — optional issue number. Add Closes #<issue> to the PR body.

Safety Rules

  • Run from the repository root and require an origin remote plus successful gh auth status.
  • Never commit directly to main, force-push, amend existing commits, or use git add -A / git add ..
  • Preserve unrelated untracked files and never stage them.
  • Require zero unstaged tracked changes at invocation. This forbids partially staged paths and unrelated work.
  • In staged-delivery, the initial staged path list is the immutable authorized change set. Do not add generated gamesymbols/<GAMEVER>.yaml or gamedata/<GAMEVER>/ outputs locally.
  • In committed-branch, require an empty index, a non-main attached branch, at least one commit ahead of origin/main, and a non-empty origin/main...HEAD diff. Never create a supplemental publication commit.
  • PR validation routing, including whether candidate preparation and C++ validation run, belongs only to .github/workflows/pr-self-runner.yml after the PR exists. Do not classify or predict its validation path locally.
  • Snapshot/gamedata publication runs only in the release pipeline. Never claim workflow-owned CI gates passed locally.
  • Commit and push commands may take longer than an interactive timeout. Wait for their real exit status; do not infer success from elapsed time.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

create-pr is a skill published in the GitHub repository HLND2T/CS2_VibeSignatures (65 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 57 tokens to every session and 1,923 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
