Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00081 | $0.01713 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00032 | $0.00685 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00016 | $0.00343 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00008 | $0.00171 |
Grade A, and why
code-trace scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 157 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Code Trace
Use the smallest mode that answers the question. The default stance is evidence-first and read-only: inspect the repository, trace the relevant boundary, and report what remains unknown. A diagnosis may recommend a repair or a regression test, but it does not implement the repair.
Modes
| Mode | Use when | Completion criterion |
|---|---|---|
explore |
You need to understand an unfamiliar symbol, file, module, or flow. | Entry point, caller/callee path, evidence, assumptions, and gaps are recorded. |
diagnose |
A failure, regression, performance problem, data inconsistency, or timing issue needs a confirmed cause. | One falsifiable root cause is supported by evidence, or the current blocker and next check are explicit. |
history |
You need to know when, why, or by whom behavior changed. | Blame, timeline, original/problematic comparison, and actionable conclusion are reported. |
select-tool |
You need one code-navigation tool and a fallback chosen. | One intent row, executable primary call, and concrete fallback or none are returned. |
If --mode is omitted, infer one mode only when intent is unambiguous. A
request to edit a symbol first requires the repository's impact-analysis rule
before any implementation lane touches it; this skill only reports the impact.
When NOT to Use
- Implement a confirmed change → use
flow-drive. - Review a proposed change → use
change-verdict. - Review an existing skill document or change → use
change-verdictin itsdocsorriskmode. Specialized skill governance scoring and stocktake are retired.
explore
- Identify the repository root, question, entry point, and target symbol.
- Follow the repository's CX priority: use
cx overview, thencx definition, thencx referencesfor symbol-level questions. Use the selected semantic fallback only when CX cannot answer. - Trace callers, callees, data/control transitions, and observable output until the relevant boundary is accounted for.
- For
--dual, dispatch an isolated read-only perspective with only the original question, repository path, and depth. Reconcile evidence after the primary trace; never seed the second perspective with a conclusion. - For
--explain --depth brief|normal|deep, keep the response within the requested depth. Loadreferences/explore/only for the selected branch.
What ships with it
35 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

code-trace is a skill published in the GitHub repository hmj1026/dhpk (2 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 81 tokens to every session and 1,713 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-05.

Audit and harden this Rust repo (code-graph-mcp) for Windows correctness: path-spelling drift between producers, the 32,767-char command-line cap, index-key mismatches, and path predicates that assume one ecosystem's layout. Use whenever touching code that builds, compares, prints, or stores a filesystem path; that…
