flow-guide

flow-guide is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from hmj1026/dhpk. It costs 61 tokens per session (2,104 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only guide for answering workflow questions and choosing the next responsible handoff. It looks up rules, routes work to an owner, and reports evidence without making implementation changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to ask for help, find a route, look up policy, choose the next step, or check whether work is ready to close.
Why use it?
It prevents workflow questions from being mixed with coding, review, or diagnosis work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00061 $0.02104
Opus 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00842
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00421
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00210

Security

Grade A, and why

flow-guide scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 10 executable files (references/_dependencies/scripts/lib/flow-handoff-contract.js, references/execution-bundle/scripts/fast-worker-selector.js, references/execution-bundle/scripts/lib/dispatch-capability-evidence.js, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 157 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Flow Guide

Use $flow-guide <help|route|rules|next|close> [query] to answer one workflow question. The guide is advisory: it records evidence and hands work to the owner through the shared neutral handoff contract; it does not acquire the owner's authority.

When NOT to Use

  • Implementing a confirmed change: invoke $flow-drive <confirmed-spec-or-change-id> directly.
  • Reviewing a completed diff: use change-verdict.
  • Tracing code or diagnosing a failure: use code-trace.

Actions

Action Use when Completion criterion
help Codex usage grammar or available skills is unclear A catalog or one usage card is returned without loading target procedure text.
route One workflow owner must be selected A validated dhpk.route-result.v3 report names the target, availability, evidence, and next action.
rules A phase or policy question needs the repository source of truth The applicable policy pointer and gates are reported; no downstream workflow starts.
next Progression from the current worktree or change is unclear One next route is recommended from current evidence.
close The edit boundary is complete and handoff readiness must be checked Changed files, required gates, open risks, and the handoff state are accounted for.

Choose exactly one action. Load only the references named by that action, and keep required, skipped, unavailable, and failed evidence distinct.

help

Run node skills/flow-guide/scripts/action-runner.js help (or usage-card.js) for the generated Codex catalog, or add one public skill name for a single usage card. Help is metadata only: it never invokes the named skill, loads procedural references, or grants workspace/Git/external-write authority. Unknown and known non-Codex skill names receive different diagnostics.

route

  1. Parse the action query with scripts/action-runner.js; its route branch delegates to scripts/route-result.js.
  2. Match references/route-table.json through scripts/pre-route.sh; the first precise match wins. A miss remains a deliberate-classification case.
  3. Apply the selected policy's local references/execution-bundle/rules/execution-policy.md projection and the target's invocation class.
  4. Without --go, return advice only. With --go, produce at most one bounded handoff for an available implicit-eligible target. An explicit-only target is reported as explicit-required; it is never dispatched here.
  5. Validate and emit the closed dhpk.route-result.v3 object. A route report is not implementation, review, commit, merge, archive, release, or deploy evidence.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

flow-guide is a skill published in the GitHub repository hmj1026/dhpk (2 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 61 tokens to every session and 2,104 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-05.
