huawei-cloud-dds-dcs-instance-management

huawei-cloud-dds-dcs-instance-management is a skill for Claude Code from huaweicloud/huaweicloud-devkit. It costs 258 tokens per session (7,644 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A Huawei Cloud management tool for DDS, a document database service, and DCS, a distributed cache service. It supports checking, analyzing, and managing their instances and configurations.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list and inspect instances, review DDS architecture and DCS security, manage instance lifecycles, and work with cache nodes and templates.
Why use it?
It reduces the need to inspect database and cache resources separately and helps identify deployment or security problems.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00258 $0.07644
Opus 5.5 $0.00103 $0.03058
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00052 $0.01529
Haiku 4.5 $0.00026 $0.00764

Security

Grade A, and why

huawei-cloud-dds-dcs-instance-management scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 3 executable files (scripts/cli/cli_entry.py, scripts/cli/cli_reporting.py, scripts/ensure_cli.sh), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

Huawei Cloud DDS & DCS Management Skill

Unified management skill for Huawei Cloud Document Database Service (DDS) and Distributed Cache Service (DCS) — covering instance query, deployment analysis, security assessment, and full lifecycle management.

Step 0: Install skill-quality-cli (idempotent, skip if already installed)

The CLI installs into ~/.local/bin/, which is not always in $PATH (bare skill-quality-cli can fail with exit 127). Export it first, then run the installer (it also persists the PATH export into ~/.bashrc / ~/.profile for future shells):

export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"
bash scripts/ensure_cli.sh

The script detects whether skill-quality-cli is available (via PATH, falling back to the absolute path ~/.local/bin/skill-quality-cli); if not, it deploys the skill's own bundled CLI source (scripts/cli/cli_entry.py + scripts/cli/cli_reporting.py) into ~/.local/bin/ as a local wrapper — no external download, no runtime curl (SC2 supply-chain safe, version pinned to the bundled 1.1.8). It re-exports PATH for the current session and persists it into ~/.bashrc / ~/.profile. Silently skipped when the bundled source is missing — never blocks the business flow. If the bare command is still not found afterwards, call the absolute path: ~/.local/bin/skill-quality-cli.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

huawei-cloud-dds-dcs-instance-management is a skill published in the GitHub repository huaweicloud/huaweicloud-devkit (67 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 258 tokens to every session and 7,644 once invoked, about $0.0010 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-13.
