A command-line tool for checking Huawei Cloud Host Security Service (HSS), which monitors cloud servers for vulnerabilities, unsafe settings, suspicious logins, and attacks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect hosts, vulnerabilities, security baselines, intrusion alerts, login records, risk scores, and alert handling status.
Why use it?
It brings host security findings and incident information together for routine checks and investigation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00194 $0.04110
Opus 5 $0.00097 $0.02055
Sonnet 5 $0.00039 $0.00822
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00411

Security

Grade A, and why

huawei-cloud-hss-query scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/test-cli-commands.sh), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Huawei Cloud HSS Host Security Skill

Overview

This skill provides AI Agent capabilities for Huawei Cloud HSS (Host Security Service / 主机安全服务), covering daily security inspection, risk diagnosis, and alert handling. It supports querying host assets, vulnerabilities, security baselines, intrusion alerts (trojans, brute-force attacks), and login audit logs, plus updating alert handling status — all via hcloud CLI.

Scope boundaries:

  • ✅ Query: host assets, vulnerabilities, baselines, intrusion alerts, login audit logs
  • ✅ Diagnose: risk scoring, high-risk vulnerability analysis, abnormal login analysis
  • ✅ Manage: update alert handling status (mark as handled, ignored, etc.)
  • ❌ Does NOT create or delete host resources
  • ❌ Does NOT execute isolation, antivirus, or other high-risk actions
  • ❌ Does NOT perform real-time blocking or kill processes

Prerequisites

  1. hcloud CLI installed and authenticated with valid AK/SK credentials.
    • Installation guide: see references/cli-installation-guide.md
    • Verify: hcloud configure list shows a valid profile
  2. HSS agent deployed on target ECS instances (HSS must be enabled in the console)
  3. IAM permissions: HSS read permissions for query operations, HSS write permissions for alert handling.
    • See references/iam-policies.md for least-privilege policy
  4. Region: HSS is region-specific. Use --cli-region to specify the target region (e.g., {your-region})

Workflow

1. Identify target → region, project_id, optional host_id filter
2. Query phase → list assets / vulnerabilities / baselines / alerts / login logs
3. Diagnose phase → risk score, high-risk items, abnormal login patterns
4. Handle phase → update alert handling status (requires user confirmation)
5. Output → structured JSON risk list + readable summary report

Core Commands

1. Host Assets (主机资产)

List all protected hosts with agent status, OS type, and risk flags:

hcloud HSS ListHostStatus --cli-region={region} --project_id={project_id} \
  [--host_id={host_id}] [--host_name={host_name}] [--os_type={linux|windows}] \
  [--agent_status={installed|not_installed|online|offline}] \
  [--has_vul=true] [--has_intrusion=true] [--has_baseline=true] \
  [--asset_value={important|common|test}] [--limit=10] [--offset=0]

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
