huawei-cloud-waf-policy-query

huawei-cloud-waf-policy-query is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from huaweicloud/huaweicloud-skills. It costs 54 tokens per session (6,865 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only query skill retrieves existing Huawei Cloud Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies. WAF is a service that filters potentially harmful web requests before they reach an application.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list WAF policies or view a selected policy's protection level, actions, and enabled modules. Commands use the region already configured in the Huawei Cloud command-line tool.
Why use it?
It lets users inspect protection settings without creating, changing, or deleting cloud resources. It helps reveal the current protection posture while requiring the user's explicit intent before queries run.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.06865
Opus 5.5 $0.00022 $0.02746
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00011 $0.01373
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00686

Security

Grade A, and why

huawei-cloud-waf-policy-query scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

[!IMPORTANT] Read-Only Operations:

  1. This SKILL only supports query (read-only) operations. No cloud resources will be created, modified, or deleted.
  2. All operations are performed via the hcloud CLI.
  3. Do not execute query commands before the user explicitly states their intent. You must first list the available capabilities, then ask the user for their intent.

Overview

This SKILL enables users to efficiently query existing protection policies in Huawei Cloud WAF (Web Application Firewall) and quickly assess the current protection posture.

Scenario Description

This SKILL supports the following query capabilities:

  • Query Protection Policy List — List all WAF protection policies
  • Query Protection Policy Details — View the basic configuration of a specified protection policy (protection level, protection action, enabled protection modules, etc.)

Region Policy: All commands use the region configured in hcloud by default. Do NOT explicitly pass --cli-region in any command. The agent must rely on the hcloud configured region.

Prerequisites

Prerequisite Check: Huawei Cloud CLI (hcloud) >= 7.2.2 is required. Run hcloud version to verify version >= 7.2.2, and run hcloud configure list to check if the configuration file exists.

hcloud version
hcloud configure list
hcloud configure set --cli-lang=cn

Core Workflow and Core Commands

Step 0: Intent Identification (MANDATORY)

Mandatory Requirement: After loading this SKILL, the agent must execute this step first and must not skip directly to subsequent query steps.

The agent should present the query capabilities of this SKILL to the user and ask what query they want to perform.

Display Template:

## This SKILL supports the following query functions:

1. **Query Protection Policy List** — List all WAF protection policies
2. **Query Protection Policy Details** — View the configuration details of a specified policy

What would you like to query? All commands use the region configured in hcloud by default.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
