hypd-tools

hypd-tools is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from HYPD-AI/ads-mcp-plugin. It costs 30 tokens per session (275 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Instructions for using HYPD, a read-only toolset for examining Google Ads and related data. They define required setup, account-ID formatting, research limits, and what to do when no account is connected.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when inspecting Google Ads accounts, researching advertising performance, or handling missing authentication and account connections.
Why use it?
It helps an agent call HYPD tools in the required order and avoids claiming that advertising data was changed when the tools only read it.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00275
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00138
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00055
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00028

Security

Grade A, and why

hypd-tools scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Using HYPD's tools

Stable invariants — init's output is authoritative if anything here differs:

  • Call init once per session before any other HYPD tool. It returns the working context and a resolver that says which skill to load for which question. Follow it.
  • Google Ads account IDs are 10 digits, dashless (2712366093, never 271-236-6093). Get them from google_ads_list_accounts.
  • Everything is read-only. No HYPD tool can create, edit, pause or delete anything in any connected platform — state only what the data shows; HYPD itself never took an action.
  • Cap list-style requests (top 5/10) so responses stay fast; external research tools (keywords, SERP, ads) want a country and language.
  • No accounts returned? Follow the hypd-getting-started skill — the user needs to connect a source first.

If HYPD is unavailable or not authenticated, do not fail — follow the hypd-getting-started skill to guide the user through connecting.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

hypd-tools is a skill published in the GitHub repository HYPD-AI/ads-mcp-plugin (2 stars, last pushed 12d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 30 tokens to every session and 275 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
