servicenow

servicenow is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from iblai/medical-healthcare-agents. It costs 42 tokens per session (707 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A connection to ServiceNow, a system companies use to track IT problems, requests, changes, knowledge articles, and the devices or services involved.

In plain words
What is it for?
Creating and updating incident tickets, checking ticket status, finding known fixes, changing priority or assignment, and looking up linked servers, applications, or workstations.
Why use it?
It removes the need to search and update support records manually across a healthcare organisation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00042 $0.00707
Opus 5 $0.00021 $0.00353
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00141
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00071

Security

Grade A, and why

servicenow scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

ServiceNow

What it is

ServiceNow is the leading ITSM platform in enterprise healthcare IT, used to manage incidents, service requests, changes, and knowledge articles across clinical and administrative technology environments. Healthcare-specific editions include pre-built workflows for EHR downtime procedures, access request routing, and HIPAA-aware audit trails. Agents use the REST Table API to automate tier-1 help desk triage, ticket creation, status lookups, and knowledge base searches.

When to use this skill

  • Create a new incident ticket when a user reports a system issue (EHR unavailability, login failure, device malfunction)
  • Look up the status or resolution notes of an existing ticket by number
  • Search the knowledge base for known issue workarounds or EHR downtime procedures
  • Escalate a ticket priority or reassign it to a specialized support group
  • Query configuration item (CI) details (server, application, workstation) linked to an incident

Credentials

This skill authenticates using variables declared in the metadata above. Copy ~/.openclaw/.env.example to ~/.openclaw/.env and fill in real values. Required variables:

  • SERVICENOW_INSTANCE_URL - full instance URL (e.g., https://healthsystem.service-now.com)
  • SERVICENOW_CLIENT_ID - OAuth 2.0 client ID registered in ServiceNow
  • SERVICENOW_CLIENT_SECRET - OAuth 2.0 client secret for token exchange
  • SERVICENOW_SERVICE_ACCOUNT - service account username for fallback basic auth (non-PHI operations)

Key operations

  • GET /api/now/table/incident?number={INC#} — retrieve incident by ticket number
  • POST /api/now/table/incident — create new incident ticket with caller, description, category, priority
  • PATCH /api/now/table/incident/{sys_id} — update ticket fields (state, priority, work notes, assignment group)
  • GET /api/now/table/kb_knowledge?sysparm_query=short_description CONTAINS {query} — search knowledge articles
  • GET /api/now/table/cmdb_ci?name={ci_name} — look up configuration item details
  • GET /api/now/table/sc_request?opened_by={user} — list service requests by requester

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

servicenow is a skill published in the GitHub repository iblai/medical-healthcare-agents (10 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 42 tokens to every session and 707 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
