generate-narration is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ikenga-hq/ikenga-pkgs. It costs 0 tokens per session (333 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A placeholder for a tool that would turn written video narration into voice audio and align the audio with word-level timings. Its source implementation was not available when this entry was created.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is intended for narration-led Studio videos, where timed words can drive subtitles and other on-screen timing.
Why use it?
There is not enough implemented detail here to rely on it as a working narration generator.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00333
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00167
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00067
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00033

Security

Grade A, and why

generate-narration scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

name: generate-narration description: Generate voiceover narration audio from beat-level VO text and align it to word-level timings (NarrationBlock) for a Studio project. Placeholder scaffold — original source skill not found at lift time.

generate-narration (scaffolded placeholder)

Status: placeholder. The source skill royalti-co/.claude/skills/generate-narration was not found at lift time (2026-05-22). This file is a minimal scaffold so the catalog/skill set is complete; flesh out from the real source when it surfaces.

Intended behaviour

  1. Read each beat's VO text from the project Script (ScriptBeat.vo).
  2. Synthesize narration audio (TTS — ElevenLabs convert-with-timestamps is the lifted reference format).
  3. Populate the project's NarrationBlock:
    • audio (AssetRef → narration.mp3)
    • words[] (composition-absolute word timings, ms)
    • voice_id, duration_ms, generated_at (ISO-8601, for staleness detection).
  4. Mark the block stale when any beat's narration text changes after generated_at.

Notes

  • Pairs with the explainer/tutorial/narrative archetypes, which are narration-led.
  • Word-level timings drive subtitle rendering and beat-snap in the timeline.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
