storyboard-workflow

storyboard-workflow is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ikenga-hq/ikenga-pkgs. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,913 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A collaborative workflow for building video storyboards, which are production plans describing each visual beat before assets and code are made.

In plain words
What is it for?
Creating storyboard scaffolds, filling frames in batches, reviewing beats, approving them, and handing the plan to asset generation and rendering.
Why use it?
It keeps the script, visual plan, review, and approval steps organised before production continues.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01913
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00957
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00383
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00191

Security

Grade A, and why

storyboard-workflow scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Storyboard Workflow

Purpose

Defines the collaborative workflow for creating video storyboards. The storyboard is a production planning document — the single source of truth that guides every downstream step: asset generation, React component coding, audio timing, and rendering.

This is a creative/directorial workflow. The user directs, Claude executes in batches. Never automate the entire storyboard at once.

Pipeline Position

/generate-video-script → STORYBOARD (this skill) → asset generation → rendering

The storyboard sits between script creation and asset generation. All beats must be approved before moving to asset generation.

3-Pass Workflow

Pass 1: Scaffold (automated)

Create the template storyboard with empty frames for all beats.

cd royalti-video-engine
npx tsx scripts/generate-storyboard-scaffold.ts --script input/scripts/<slug>-script.yaml

Creates:

  • input/storyboards/<slug>/storyboard.excalidraw — color-coded grid, 3 beats per row, 1920×1080 per beat, section header frames, transition arrows
  • input/storyboards/<slug>/frames/{beatId}.png — per-beat placeholder PNGs
  • input/storyboards/<slug>/manifest.json — tracking with status scaffold per beat

Color coding by visual type:

  • Teal tint (#c3fae8) — storyboard_sequence, excalidraw_diagram (needs Excalidraw art)
  • Purple tint (#d0bfff) — react_diagram (needs React component coding)
  • Blue tint (#a5d8ff) — text_overlay, counter_animation (simple text/number)
  • Orange tint (#ffd8a8) — end_screen (CTA)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

storyboard-workflow is a skill published in the GitHub repository ikenga-hq/ikenga-pkgs (0 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,913 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
