laravel

laravel is a skill for Claude Code from infohata/mind-vault. It costs 81 tokens per session (4,156 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of backend conventions for Laravel 12, a PHP web framework, covering data access, validation, background jobs, permissions, tenant separation, and tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps build Eloquent models and queries, form requests, API resources, Redis queues, Horizon workers, tenant scopes, policies, gates, and Pest tests.
Why use it?
It prevents common application problems such as slow repeated database queries, unvalidated input, cross-customer data access, and unclear authorization.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00081 $0.04156
Opus 5 $0.00041 $0.02078
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00831
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00416

Security

Grade A, and why

laravel scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 251 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

laravel

Core Laravel backend patterns organized around the six data-layer contract concerns: how relations are eager-loaded (no N+1, bulk writes), where untrusted input is validated, how deferred work is queued, how every query is scoped to the caller's tenant, who is allowed to act, and how tests stay fast and isolated. Target baseline is Laravel 12 / PHP 8.2 (a real modern Laravel 12 rework PoC). Deep mechanics live in references/; the body leads cleanly with the contract headings so a generic agent resolves each one by its verbatim string.

Pairs with: laravel-frontend for Blade / Livewire / Inertia template patterns. Load both on full-stack feature work (e.g. a controller that returns a Blade fragment on an HX-Request).

When to use

TRIGGER when: editing a Laravel project (composer.json + artisan, app/Models, app/Http/Controllers, app/Http/Requests, database/migrations/); adding an Eloquent model or relation; writing a controller, Form Request, or API Resource; dispatching a queued job; adding a Policy/Gate or tenant scope; running php artisan test; debugging N+1 or lazy-loading exceptions.

SKIP for: Blade/Livewire/Inertia template-only work (use laravel-frontend); non-Laravel PHP (raw PHP, Symfony, legacy ZF1 — different idioms); DevOps without code.

Pattern

Each ### below is a contract heading — the same verbatim string the active backend skill exposes on every stack, so a stack-agnostic agent greps one anchor and resolves the Laravel rule under it. Each carries a mechanism, the best-practice default to enforce, the anti-pattern to flag, and a runnable sample; depth pushes into references/.

ORM eager-loading

Eloquent lazy-loads relations on access, so any relation touched inside a loop without a prior with() is an N+1 storm. Eager-load every looped relation; use withCount() for counts, load()/loadMissing() to top-up an already-fetched model, chunkById()/lazy()/cursor() for large sets, and insert()/upsert() for bulk writes instead of create() in a loop.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

laravel is a skill published in the GitHub repository infohata/mind-vault (2 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 81 tokens to every session and 4,156 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
