review

review is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from initxy/noeta. It costs 14 tokens per session (362 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A review of the current Git changes for correctness and consistency with the repository's standards. Git is the tool that records and compares code changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review uncommitted changes or compare against a named branch, checking surrounding code, callers, tests, naming, structure, and style.
Why use it?
It helps find logic errors, edge cases, security risks, missing tests, and deviations from the project's existing conventions before the changes are accepted.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00014 $0.00362
Opus 5 $0.00007 $0.00181
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00036

Measured 4d ago against content hash fbe3a165ec2e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Review changes

Act as an expert code reviewer for the current working changes. Be concise but thorough, and focus on what actually matters.

Take the scope / base ref from the conversation; with none given, review the uncommitted changes.

Steps

  1. Establish the diff. Run git_status to see what changed, then git_diff to read the actual hunks. If the user named a base ref (e.g. main), pass it to git_diff so you compare against that point instead of just unstaged changes.
  2. For any hunk you cannot judge in isolation, read the surrounding code and grep for callers, related tests, and existing conventions so your review reflects real repo context rather than guesses.
  3. Report along two axes:
    • Correctness — logic errors, edge cases, error handling, concurrency, data loss, security issues, and whether tests cover the change.
    • Standards — does it match this repo's existing conventions, naming, structure, and style? Cite the convention you're comparing against.
  4. For each finding give: file + location, what's wrong, why it matters, and a concrete suggested fix. Separate must-fix issues from optional nits. If something is fine, say so briefly rather than padding.

Do not modify code in this review — only report. Keep the output skimmable with clear sections and bullet points.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
