dt-mcp-server: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/dt-davis-analyzers/SKILL.md

dt-davis-analyzers is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from israel-salgado/dt-mcp-server. It costs 62 tokens per session (853 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for using Davis Analyzers, tools for forecasting trends, finding unusual behaviour, calculating baselines, and comparing related signals in Dynatrace.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list analyzers, run forecasts or anomaly checks, inspect results in investigations and notebooks, and combine analysis with Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) work.
Why use it?
It helps avoid guessing which analyzer to use, what inputs it needs, how to wait for results, and how to interpret those results alongside Dynatrace problems and queries.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00062 $0.00853
Opus 5 $0.00031 $0.00426
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00171
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00085

Security

Grade A, and why

dt-davis-analyzers scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Davis Analyzers Skill

Overview

Davis Analyzers provide advanced AI-driven analysis including time series forecasting, anomaly detection, baseline calculation, and correlation.

When to use this skill:

  • List available analyzers and their capabilities
  • Execute analyzers with proper parameters and timeframes
  • Interpret analyzer results in investigations and notebooks
  • Combine analyzer output with Davis Problems and DQL

MANDATORY: Always load .agents/skills/dt-dql-essentials/SKILL.md FIRST before any DQL or analyzer work.

Core Rules (from dt-dql-essentials)

  • Start all investigations with problems (dt.davis.problems or list_problems).
  • Use unique event.type + event.provider for workflow isolation.
  • Validate EVERY query in exact target context (standalone + notebook tile).
  • Prefer fields/bin()/sort/limit over summarize by in dashboard tiles.
  • Follow notebook Live State Reconciliation & Conflict Protection before any modification.

Common Analyzers

Analyzer Use Case Key Input Parameters
dt.statistics.GenericForecastAnalyzer Time series forecasting metric, forecastHorizon
Adaptive anomaly detection Dynamic threshold detection entity, metric, sensitivity
Seasonal baseline Seasonal pattern analysis metric, seasonality
Static threshold Fixed threshold analysis metric, threshold
Correlation Entity correlation analysis entities, timeframe

(See list_davis_analyzers tool for full current list and metadata: name, displayName, description, category, labels.)

Execution Patterns

Basic execution (use via MCP execute_davis_analyzer):

{
  "analyzerName": "dt.statistics.GenericForecastAnalyzer",
  "input": {
    "generalParameters": {
      "timeframe": {
        "startTime": "now-7d",
        "endTime": "now"
      }
    },
    "metric": "builtin:host.cpu.usage",
    "forecastHorizon": 24
  }
}

Polling note: Long-running analyzers return a requestToken. Poll until executionStatus: "COMPLETED". Use timeout and cancel logic on failure.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

dt-davis-analyzers is a skill published in the GitHub repository israel-salgado/dt-mcp-server (2 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 62 tokens to every session and 853 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
