palot: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/opencode-coverage/SKILL.md

opencode-coverage is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ItsWendell/palot. It costs 58 tokens per session (1,054 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An audit guide for checking how fully Palot supports OpenCode 2 operations and events. It uses a deterministic analyzer to compare the installed protocol with the code, tests, and recorded baselines.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to investigate a particular OpenCode operation, event, coverage gap, analyzer result, or baseline change.
Why use it?
It replaces a broad manual search with evidence about missing operations, events, or regressions. It also prevents an audit from being mistaken for permission to change versions or baselines.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents); mentions OpenCode.

This is ItsWendell/palot's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on palot itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything palot configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00058 $0.01054
Opus 5.5 $0.00023 $0.00422
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00211
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00105

Security

Grade A, and why

opencode-coverage scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 97 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

OpenCode coverage

Use the deterministic analyzer as the source of facts. Your job is to interpret its evidence, trace important gaps, and recommend work.

Match the audit to the requested scope. For a specific operation, event, or regression, inspect its diagnostics and relevant evidence rather than producing a repository-wide inventory. Loading this skill does not authorize baseline changes or runtime upgrades.

Run the audit

Start with the pinned offline check:

bun run opencode:coverage:check

For published V2 changes:

bun run opencode:coverage --compare beta,dev

Read the repository-root ../../../.local/opencode-coverage/report.json. Use the Markdown report only for a quick overview.

The analyzer owns:

  • The exact installed OpenAPI inventory from @opencode/protocol/client.
  • Promise-client path mapping, including experimental and custom-transport operations.
  • Oxc AST references in production, unit tests, and deterministic E2E code.
  • Request fields passed by Palot and response paths read by Palot.
  • The exact generated OpenCodeEvent union and string-literal evidence.
  • Contract and evidence regressions against repository-root ../../../apps/desktop/opencode-coverage-baseline.json.

Interpret an operation

Trace evidence in this order:

  1. Contract: method, path, stability, request fields, and Promise-client availability.
  2. Transport: generated Promise client, SSE, or a custom transport such as PTY WebSocket.
  3. Production: every location in evidence.locations whose kind is production.
  4. Breadth: compare requestFieldsObserved with inputFields; inspect responsePathsObserved. If observedRequestCoverage.complete is false, report unresolved analysis instead of treating missing fields as unused.
  5. Product path: follow the adapter into Palot contracts, state, hooks, and visible behavior.
  6. Tests: separate mocks, direct unit calls, and deterministic E2E references.
  7. Failure behavior: cancellation, errors, reconnect, stale state, and cleanup.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

opencode-coverage is a skill published in the GitHub repository ItsWendell/palot (194 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 58 tokens to every session and 1,054 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-13.
