Każda notatka prawna powinna zawierać poniższe sekcje. Kolejność jest kluczowa — prawnik czytający memo powinien móc zatrzymać się po Brief Answer i wiedzieć wystarczająco dużo, aby podjąć decyzję, a po przeczytaniu Discussion — mieć pełen obraz.
