tavily-hikari: Skill for Codex

.codex/skills/style-playbook-starter/SKILL.md

style-playbook-starter is a skill for Codex from IvanLi-CN/tavily-hikari. It costs 32 tokens per session (214 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A maintenance guide for skills focused on a particular style topic. It explains how to correct, extend, or review those instruction files while keeping their commands, examples, and references consistent.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to patch factual errors, enhance reusable instructions, update references, check examples, and identify differences between a topic skill and its source documentation.
Why use it?
It gives maintainers a shared process for fixing stale guidance and adding reusable rules without accidentally changing expected behavior.

Skill for Codex

Written for Codex: agents/openai.yaml present.

This is IvanLi-CN/tavily-hikari's own configuration. It tells Codex how to work on tavily-hikari itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything tavily-hikari configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.00214
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00107
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00043
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00021

Security

Grade A, and why

style-playbook-starter scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Style Playbook Starter

Use this starter whenever you maintain a style-topic-* skill.

Patch (write)

  • Fix factual errors, broken commands, invalid paths, or stale references.
  • Keep behavior changes minimal and explicit.
  • If patching changes expected outputs, update the relevant examples.

Enhance (write)

  • Add reusable defaults and decision rules, not project-specific one-offs.
  • Prefer additive updates; avoid breaking existing command contracts.
  • Add clear guardrails and failure handling where missing.

Update (read)

  • Read latest topic skill + source tag doc before proposing changes.
  • Validate that examples still match current files and scripts.
  • Call out drift between topic guidance and source references.

Required workflow in topic skills

  • Topic skills must cite this starter in a dedicated section.
  • Topic skills should not duplicate starter content verbatim; reference it.
Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
