open-codelabs-integrator

open-codelabs-integrator is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from JAICHANGPARK/workshop-harness. It costs 80 tokens per session (1,232 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An integration skill that converts workshop labs into manifests and step files for Open Codelabs, an interactive platform for publishing guided coding exercises.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to generate codelab.yaml, split lab guides into steps, map prerequisites and materials, and publish them with the oc command-line tool.
Why use it?
It connects existing workshop documents and code folders to the platform without requiring the content to be copied and reorganized by hand.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00080 $0.01232
Opus 5 $0.00040 $0.00616
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00246
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00123

Security

Grade A, and why

open-codelabs-integrator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Open Codelabs Integrator Skill

Purpose

Seamlessly bridges workshop-harness generated workshops with the Open Codelabs interactive hands-on platform (https://github.com/JAICHANGPARK/open-codelabs). It transforms static workshop markdown docs, lab instructions, and code scaffolds into structured Open Codelabs manifests (codelab.yaml), enabling facilitators to publish codelabs, manage code-server workspaces, issue quizzes, and run live interactive sessions with zero manual copy-pasting.

🚀 Key Integration Features

  1. Manifest Auto-Generation (codelab.yaml):

    • Parses workshop/03_labs/README.md and gemma4-local-setup-guide.md into standard Open Codelabs manifest specs (version: 1).
    • Splits monolithic lab documentation into sequential step files (steps/step_01.md, steps/step_02.md, etc.).
    • Maps docs/02-prerequisites.md and repository links as Open Codelabs materials.
  2. One-Click Publishing (oc codelab push):

    • Uses the oc CLI to push published manifests, guide markdowns, steps, quizzes, and materials directly to a local or remote Open Codelabs backend (Axum / SQLite / Postgres / Firebase).
  3. Agentic MCP Interoperability (oc mcp serve):

    • Leverages open-codelabs stdio MCP server to allow AI Agents (Antigravity, Claude, Codex, Cursor) to dynamically query connection status, create/update codelabs, inspect participant progress, triage help queues, and manage code-server workspace snapshots.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
