frontend-implementation

frontend-implementation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from JakubMikolajek/codex-skills-collection. It costs 49 tokens per session (2,660 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of frontend coding guidelines for building web interfaces. It covers reusable components, design-system rules, accessibility, and web performance.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when implementing UI components, applying design tokens, checking accessibility, improving Core Web Vitals, or organizing reusable frontend code.
Why use it?
It helps prevent inconsistent styling, inaccessible interfaces, duplicated code, and avoidable performance problems.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00049 $0.02660
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.01330
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00532
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00266

Security

Grade A, and why

frontend-implementation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Frontend Implementation Patterns

This skill provides patterns and guidelines for implementing frontend features that are accessible, performant, maintainable, and consistent with the design system.

When to Use

  • Before implementing any UI component or feature
  • When working with design systems and tokens
  • When ensuring accessibility compliance
  • When optimizing frontend performance

Core Principles

Component Design

  • Reusable over page-specific: Implement composable UI components rather than tightly coupled page-specific code
  • Respect architecture boundaries: Always follow the component hierarchy and boundaries defined in the implementation plan
  • Extend, don't duplicate: Extend the existing design system and component library instead of creating parallel one-off styles
  • Single responsibility: Each component should have one clear purpose

Design System Usage

  • Use existing tokens: Always use design tokens (colors, spacing, typography) from the project's design system
  • Map design spec values to tokens: When a mockup/spec shows raw values (e.g., #3B82F6), map them to existing tokens (e.g., --color-primary-500)
  • Never hardcode values: Avoid hardcoded colors, spacing, or typography values that bypass the design system
  • Document new tokens: If a new token is absolutely required, document and justify it in the changelog

Token Mapping Process

  1. Extract value from the approved design specification
  2. Search codebase for matching design token
  3. If token exists → use it
  4. If no exact match → find closest existing token and document deviation
  5. If truly new → request architect approval before creating

Accessibility Requirements

Semantic Markup

  • Use correct HTML elements for their semantic meaning (<button>, <nav>, <main>, <article>, etc.)
  • Choose interactive elements appropriately (<button> for actions, <a> for navigation)
  • Use heading hierarchy correctly (<h1><h2><h3>, no skipping levels)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

frontend-implementation is a skill published in the GitHub repository JakubMikolajek/codex-skills-collection (5 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 49 tokens to every session and 2,660 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
