Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00065 | $0.01529 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00032 | $0.00764 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00013 | $0.00306 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00153 |
Grade A, and why
react-nextjs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 157 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
React Next.js Implementation Patterns
Use this skill when the task is specifically about Next.js behavior on top of React. Reuse the general react skill for component discipline and this skill for app-structure, rendering model, and data-fetching rules.
When to Use
- Building, refactoring, or debugging Next.js routes, layouts, loading/error states, or server/client component boundaries
- Implementing data fetching, server actions, route handlers, or cache/revalidation logic in Next.js
- Working with Next.js metadata, SEO, Open Graph, or font optimization
- Reviewing Next.js code for correct server/client boundary usage, runtime safety, or rendering model
When NOT to Use
- Task is about React component logic, hooks, or state without Next.js specifics — use
reactalone - Task is about Vue, Nuxt, or non-React frameworks — use the appropriate framework skill
- Task is about backend API logic in a separate service (not Next.js route handlers) — use backend skills
Delivery Workflow
Use the checklist below and track progress:
React Next.js progress:
- [ ] Step 1: Discover App Router or Pages Router conventions
- [ ] Step 2: Map server and client boundaries explicitly
- [ ] Step 3: Implement data flow, routing, and mutations
- [ ] Step 4: Verify caching, metadata, and error/loading states
- [ ] Step 5: Test the route behavior and runtime assumptions
Routing and Composition
- Follow the existing router model first. Do not introduce App Router patterns into Pages Router code or the reverse without need.
- Keep route structure intentional: layout, page, loading, error, and nested segments should reflect real product boundaries.
- Keep framework-level concerns in route files and push reusable UI into shared React components.
- Treat route params, search params, and server-derived state as explicit inputs, not implicit globals.
Server and Client Boundaries
- Default to server-first where the project already uses that model.
- Add client components only when interactivity, browser APIs, or client-side state actually require them.
- Keep client boundaries small so most rendering can stay server-driven.
- Do not pass unnecessary heavy objects across server-client boundaries.
- Make serialization constraints visible when designing props and action payloads.
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

react-nextjs is a skill published in the GitHub repository JakubMikolajek/codex-skills-collection (5 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 65 tokens to every session and 1,529 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
