tmcp-routing-policy-generator

tmcp-routing-policy-generator is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from jakyeamos/tmcp. It costs 33 tokens per session (256 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for turning information gathered from existing agent instructions and skills into rules that decide which workflow an agent should use.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for creating routing triggers, negative rules, workflow templates, command-line fallbacks, and a list of policy decisions that still need user input.
Why use it?
It helps teams make agent behavior more predictable by defining when a workflow should or should not run, including fallback instructions and approval points.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00033 $0.00256
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00128
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00051
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00026

Security

Grade A, and why

tmcp-routing-policy-generator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

TMCP Routing Policy Generator

Status: experimental. This workflow remains shipped and callable, but its public contract may change.

Use this skill when the user asks for routing triggers, agent policy, AGENTS/CLAUDE rules, when-to-use guidance, or workflow selection rules derived from harvested skills.

Do not edit policy files unless the user explicitly asks for implementation.

Workflow

  1. Run tmcp_harvest_skills over agent instructions, skills, repo docs, and workflow rules.
  2. Run tmcp_recommend_workflows to identify supported routing families.
  3. Generate routing triggers, negative triggers, fallback CLI instructions, and approval gates.
  4. Run expert_rubric_review_plan only after the user selects a workflow to turn into an audited policy change.
  5. Keep implementation approval-gated.

Output Contract

Produce or cite:

  • Recommended routing triggers.
  • Negative routing rules.
  • Default workflow templates.
  • Custom workflow triggers.
  • Tool/CLI fallbacks.
  • Policy gaps that need user decisions.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
