mooboard-create-timeline

mooboard-create-timeline is a skill for Claude Code from jamesdawsonWD/mooboard-skills. It costs 51 tokens per session (1,183 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool for creating chronological timeline boards on an infinite canvas, with events arranged in order and supported by notes or images.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for project roadmaps, histories, trip plans, product launches, and processes that move from one stage to the next.
Why use it?
It turns a sequence of events into a readable visual plan instead of leaving the order scattered across documents.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00051 $0.01183
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00592
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00237
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00118

Security

Grade A, and why

mooboard-create-timeline scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

Mooboard Create Timeline

Create a new board under the Mooboard library as a chronological timeline on an infinite board.

Core idea

Events progress clearly left→right (default) or top→bottom. Each event is a cluster: date/label + image or evidence + short note. Whitespace separates eras; the infinite canvas can extend as long as needed.

Do not rely on a layout script. Use multi-agent review.

Best use cases

  • Project / product roadmaps
  • Company or personal history
  • Trip day-by-day sequences
  • Launch plans
  • Process narratives (research → build → ship)

Style rules

Usually includes:

  • a title and time-range subtitle
  • 4–12 event clusters along an axis
  • optional era headers (“Q1”, “Day 2”, “Before / After”)
  • short notes and 0–1 image per event
  • optional todo for next milestones
  • sparse arrows only to show sequence when helpful

It should not look like a collage, masonry wall, or comparison matrix.

Layout character

Desired feel

  • Readable chronology
  • Even rhythm along the axis
  • Clear event clusters
  • Room to add future events further along the canvas

Default pattern

Horizontal timeline

  1. Title at top-left
  2. Baseline / axis implied by aligned event tops (y shared) or a thin geo line
  3. Event clusters at increasing x
  4. Optional summary / next steps at the far right

Spacing expectations

  • Gap between event clusters: 160–280px
  • Gap within an event cluster: 60–120px
  • Hard minimum gap between substantial boxes: 60px

Required multi-agent workflow

Agent 1 — Narrative Planner

Orders events and chooses horizontal vs vertical.

Agent 2 — Region Planner

Assigns x/y zones per event and title/summary regions.

Agent 3 — Layout Planner

Sizes images/notes and stacks each event cluster.

Agent 4 — Collision Auditor

Checks no overlaps and that chronology reads unambiguously.

Agent 5 — Story Critic

Checks whether a stranger can follow the sequence in under 10 seconds.

Final Manifest Reviewer

Checks the written .mooboard.json:

  • coordinates match the approved plan
  • every image is presentation: "interactive"
  • every link is previewMode: "card" with previewImage
  • folder media matches referenced paths exactly

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
