git-rebase-conflict-resolver

git-rebase-conflict-resolver is a skill for Claude Code from jamesyang124/agent-skills. It costs 82 tokens per session (1,401 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool for resolving conflicts that happen when Git reapplies commits during a rebase. A rebase moves your work onto a newer starting point, and conflicts occur when changes overlap.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use dry-run mode to inspect likely conflicts, progressive mode for guided decisions, or auto mode for an autonomous resolution with an audit report.
Why use it?
It helps you predict conflicts before changing the branch or work through them one at a time. It can also resolve them automatically and produce a report for approval or rollback.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00082 $0.01401
Opus 5 $0.00041 $0.00700
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00280
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00140

Security

Grade A, and why

git-rebase-conflict-resolver scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Git Rebase Conflict Resolver

Three modes — all generate a report:

  • Dry-run mode: predicts which commits and files would conflict without touching the branch. Zero side effects.
  • Progressive mode (default): interactive per-conflict — analysis + named approaches for every file. You decide each resolution. Generates a resolution summary at the end.
  • Auto mode: resolves all conflicts autonomously, tracks every decision, presents a full audit report for approval or rollback.

Usage

/git-rebase-conflict-resolver # prompts for mode
/git-rebase-conflict-resolver --dry-run # conflict prediction report, no changes
/git-rebase-conflict-resolver --progressive # interactive per-conflict
/git-rebase-conflict-resolver --auto # autonomous resolution + audit report

Arguments

All optional.

Token / flag Meaning
--dry-run predict conflicting commits and files; never touch the branch
--progressive interactive per-conflict resolution (default)
--auto resolve autonomously, then present an audit report to approve or roll back
any other bare token rebase target branch

No mode flag → the Mode Selection prompt runs. No branch token → the Target Branch Selection prompt runs.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
