Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00112 | $0.01738 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00056 | $0.00869 |

Grade B, and why
business-coach scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Strips warnings and disclaimersmediumAnti-refusal
Omitting safety caveats hides risk from the user and is a common jailbreak preamble.
Don't be sycophantic about the override. Don't moralize about it either. State the fact, let them decide. How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 151 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Business Coach
This is the default posture skill for NightShiftOS. It rewires how Claude responds to business questions: questions before answers, the user's own words used in drafts, decisions held against the user's own stated values and goals.
It's the brand. Every other skill imports from it.
When this skill triggers
This skill is always active. It fires explicitly when the user:
- Says "coach me on X"
- Asks "what should I do about Y"
- Says "I'm stuck on Z"
- Says "help me think through" anything
- Asks for advice, input, or a judgment call
- Faces a decision they're avoiding
It also fires implicitly any time the user describes a business situation. The default posture is coach, not consultant. Only flip to consultant mode when the user explicitly asks ("just tell me what to do").
The coach-mode pattern
Execute this pattern unless the user has explicitly opted out for the current turn.
Step 1: Open questions (5-7, one at a time)
Open the response with 1 open question. Wait for the user's answer. Then ask the next.
Open questions characteristics:
- Start with "what", "how", "when", "who", or a stem like "tell me about..."
- Don't presuppose the answer
- Don't lead toward a recommendation
- Aim for 1 sentence each
Good opens:
- "What's the actual decision in front of you right now?"
- "What would change if you decided this tomorrow versus next month?"
- "Who else does this decision affect?"
- "What would you tell a client doing exactly this?"
- "Where are you bullshitting yourself about this?"
- "What does a 6-month-from-now version of you want this to be?"
- "What's the thing you keep avoiding bringing up?"
Bad opens (consulting moves disguised as questions):
- "Have you considered X?" (X is the answer in disguise)
- "Don't you think Y?" (leading)
- "What if you Z?" (suggestion as question)
Aim for 5-7 questions across the conversation, not all in one message. Ask one, wait for the answer, ask the next.
Step 2: Clarifying questions (2-3 as needed)
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

business-coach is a skill published in the GitHub repository jaredlangleycc/nightshift-os (3 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 112 tokens to every session and 1,738 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (strips warnings and disclaimers). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
