Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00109 | $0.03221 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00055 | $0.01611 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00022 | $0.00644 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00011 | $0.00322 |
Grade A, and why
discovery-call-prep scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 331 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
discovery call Prep
The specific workflow for prepping a FIRST call with a cold or semi-cold prospect. Different from call-prep (which handles all call types): discovery-call-prep goes deeper on prospect research, ICP red-flag detection, and the open coach-mode questions that shape the first conversation.
First calls have the highest stakes per minute. They're where trust is built or broken, where the user qualifies fit, where the prospect decides whether to keep talking. This skill produces a 1-page card the user reads in the 15 min before the call.
The output is opinionated. It tells the user what to ask, what to avoid, what red flags to listen for, and how to redirect if the call drifts. Not a script. A decision aid.
When this skill triggers
- "Prep my discovery call with [name]"
- "Discovery prep for [prospect] tomorrow"
- "Research [prospect] before our 3pm"
- "Build a discovery brief for [name]"
- "First call with [prospect], help me prep"
- "I have a discovery in 2 hours, where do I start"
- "Cold prospect research for [name]"
NOT for: client calls (use call-prep), renewal conversations (use call-prep), proposal reviews (use call-prep), follow-up calls in an existing thread (use call-prep). This skill is FIRST-call-specific.
The 5-source research pull (run all available)
Discovery prep is research-heavy. The skill pulls from 5 sources, in priority order. The depth varies by deal stage: a cold-cold prospect needs more LinkedIn dig; a referral needs less LinkedIn, more conversation context.
Source 1: LinkedIn profile
Required. If user doesn't have the LinkedIn URL, ask for it.
Pull:
- Current role + tenure (months in role, transitions)
- Previous role + tenure (how they got here)
- 5 most recent posts (last 60 days)
- Profile headline + about section (their words about themselves)
- Mutual connections (named)
- Endorsements + recommendations (what people say about them)
- Education + early career signal (often surfaces values)
Time budget: 10-15 min. Don't go past 15 min on one prospect.
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

discovery-call-prep is a skill published in the GitHub repository jaredlangleycc/nightshift-os (3 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 109 tokens to every session and 3,221 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
