Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00104 | $0.03504 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00052 | $0.01752 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00021 | $0.00701 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00350 |
Grade A, and why
proposal-writer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 376 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Proposal Writer
Formal proposal for high-ticket engagements ($1K+ typical). Different from a cold email or a one-pager: a proposal is the document the prospect reads when they're deciding to invest. Wrong proposal format = stalled deals at the Proposal Sent stage.
The skill produces a branded markdown or HTML proposal that pulls the user's pricing rules (locked in CLAUDE.md), the engagement scope (from the discovery call), and the user's voice. It outputs in two formats: editable markdown (for review) and PDF-ready HTML (for sending).
This is NOT a generic SaaS proposal template. It's shaped for solo coaching, consulting, services, and other high-trust offers. For SaaS pricing pages, use copywriting skill instead.
When this skill triggers
- "Write a proposal for [prospect]"
- "Draft proposal for [name]"
- "Send [prospect] a proposal"
- "Proposal for flagship engagement with [name]"
- "Build a SOW for [project]"
- "Scope of work for [client]"
- "Write up the engagement for [prospect]"
- "I need a proposal by [day]"
NOT for: ongoing client deliverables (use a different skill), marketing copy (use copywriting), email pitches (use outreach-drafter), one-pagers (use copywriting).
Pre-flight (run before drafting)
Check 1: Discovery call already happened
The proposal is built on the discovery. If no discovery call has happened, refuse to draft and route to:
discovery-call-prepto prep the discoveryoutreach-drafterto schedule the discovery
A proposal without discovery = generic pitch document. Will not close.
Check 2: Pricing rules loaded
Read pricing from CLAUDE.md. Critical: NEVER deviate from the locked offer pricing without explicit user confirmation. If user asks to draft proposal at a different price than the locked rate, flag:
"Locked Foundation price is $X,XXX. You're asking me to draft at $1,800. Confirm this is intentional, AND explain the scope adjustment so the proposal reads coherently."
Check 3: Scope is specific
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

proposal-writer is a skill published in the GitHub repository jaredlangleycc/nightshift-os (3 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 104 tokens to every session and 3,504 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
