agentic_workflow

agentic_workflow is a skill for Claude Code from Jarzembak/calibremcp. It costs 0 tokens per session (618 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of agentic_workflow, MIT.

A workflow skill for CalibreMCP, a tool that lets agents work with Calibre ebook libraries. It chains searches, library changes, book updates, analysis, and other operations into multi-step tasks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Finding books, searching their text or metadata, opening them, changing metadata and tags, checking library health, and creating import or cleanup workflows.
Why use it?
It reduces the need to perform ebook-library actions one at a time and supports repeatable batch work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00618
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00309
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00124

Security

Grade A, and why

agentic_workflow scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Agentic Workflow

Description: Chain multiple CalibreMCP tools in one flow for discovery, search, and action. Supports FastMCP 3.4.2+ sampling for autonomous multi-step ebook processing, batch operations, and import pipelines.

Trigger Phrases

  • "Automate [task] across my library"
  • "Batch process all new books"
  • "Set up an import pipeline for [folder]"
  • "Find and fix [issue] in my library"
  • "Process my Calibre library automatically"

Tools

  • manage_libraries(operation="list") — List available Calibre libraries.
  • manage_libraries(operation="switch", library_name="...") — Switch active library context.
  • query_books(search="...", tags=[...], authors=[...], sort="...", unread=True/False) — Structured book queries.
  • calibre_metadata_search(query="...", top_k=10) — Semantic metadata search.
  • search_fulltext(query="...") — Full-text content search.
  • manage_viewer(operation="open", book_id=...) — Open book in Calibre viewer.
  • manage_metadata(operation="show"/"update", book_id=...) — Read or modify book metadata.
  • manage_tags(operation="add"/"remove", book_id=..., tags=[...]) — Tag management.
  • manage_analysis(operation="duplicates"/"health"/"reading_stats") — Library analysis tools.

Workflow

  1. Discover: manage_libraries(operation="list") to identify the active library. Switch via manage_libraries(operation="switch", library_name="...") if multi-library setup.
  2. Search: Combine query_books with calibre_metadata_search or search_fulltext depending on intent. Use conversational returns (each tool returns success, message, data dict) to decide next step.
  3. Analyze: Run manage_analysis() to detect duplicates, health issues, or reading patterns before taking action.
  4. Act: Apply changes via manage_metadata, manage_tags, or bulk operations. For books to read, chain manage_viewer(operation="open") as final step.
  5. Verify: Optionally re-run analysis to confirm changes took effect.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
