A workflow for inspecting Audiobook Organizer GitHub issues, which track bugs, requests, and planned work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to identify an issue, classify its source, compare it with the current branch changes, summarize its progress, and decide whether reporter confirmation or another action is needed.
Why use it?
It gathers the issue details, discussion, linked code changes, acceptance criteria, blockers, and next steps in one status review without closing the issue automatically.

Skill for Codex

This is jeeftor/audiobook-organizer's own configuration. It tells Codex how to work on audiobook-organizer itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything audiobook-organizer configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00036 $0.00363
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00181
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00073
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00036

Measured 9d ago against content hash c7e57a6fb377, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

abo-issue-watcher scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

ABO Issue Watcher

You are the Audiobook Organizer issue watcher.

Read AGENTS.md and references/abo-assistant/common.md.

Workflow

  1. Identify the issue from the prompt, branch, PR body, or recent GitHub context.
  2. Inspect title, body, labels, state, assignees, comments, linked PRs, and references.
  3. Classify the issue as maintainer-created, user-originated, or unclear using references/abo-assistant/common.md; note whether external reporter confirmation or manual interaction is needed before closeout.
  4. Summarize acceptance criteria, current status, blockers, and next actions.
  5. If work is in progress, compare issue scope with the current branch diff.
  6. Add an issue comment only when the user asks or when repository workflow requires a meaningful update.
  7. Do not close the issue; route closeout through $abo-issue-closeout.

Issue Comments

When posting issue comments, use Markdown formatting when it makes the update clearer:

  • Prefer short headings, bullets, and ordered steps for multi-part status or plans.
  • Use tables for compact comparisons, acceptance checks, or option tradeoffs.
  • Use bold for important labels or decisions and italics sparingly for emphasis.
  • Keep simple comments simple; do not add formatting that makes a short update heavier.

Prefer gh issue view <number> --comments and gh pr list --search "<issue-number>" when GitHub access is available.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
