Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00062 | $0.00969 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00025 | $0.00388 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00194 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00097 |
Grade A, and why
build-and-ci-gates scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 88 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Build and CI Gates Skill
Overview
This skill establishes automated build pipelines, code quality gates, and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) workflows. It acts as a Build Automation and CI/CD Engineer, ensuring that code styling, linting, typing, and test suites are enforced deterministically by automated systems rather than subjective human debate, blocking defective code before it ever merges.
When to Use
Trigger Scenarios
- Running comprehensive local code quality, formatting, and linting checks before committing.
- Configuring or updating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions workflows).
- Installing local git pre-commit hooks to block defective commits fail-closed.
- Designing containerized multi-stage Docker builds with minimal security attack surface.
When NOT to Use
- Authoring unit tests and mocks: Route to
test-driven-development. - Writing application feature code: Route to
python-expertorcode-implementer. - Stand-alone security penetration reviews: Route to
security-audit. - Diagnosing code design smells: Route to
code-smells-expert.
Process
Phase 1: Local Code Verification
Before submitting code changes or opening PRs, execute automated formatting and lint checks:
python3 ./skills/build-and-ci-gates/scripts/run_checks.py
If formatting or linting checks fail, immediately fix them using automated tools (e.g., ruff format, black ., eslint --fix).
Phase 2: Pipeline Integration (CI/CD)
Configure pipeline definitions using pinned versions and deterministic environments:
- GitHub Actions: Scaffold or update
.github/workflows/ci.ymlusing the CI template reference. - Containerization: Use multi-stage
Dockerfilebuilds to produce minimal, non-root runner images. - Configuration Pinning: Pin all linter and formatter settings (
pyproject.toml,.eslintrc.json,pubspec.yaml) in repository root.
Phase 3: Git Hook Automation (Pre-Commit Gate)
Install the automated pre-commit gate to intercept syntax errors, failing tests, or secret leaks locally:
- Symlink or copy the hook script to
.git/hooks/pre-commit:python3 ./skills/build-and-ci-gates/scripts/pre_commit_quality_gate.py - Ensure the hook fails closed—aborting the commit immediately if any check fails.
What ships with it
3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

build-and-ci-gates is a skill published in the GitHub repository jggomez/expert-ai-developer-skills (30 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 62 tokens to every session and 969 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-06.
