Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00025 $0.01293
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00517
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00259
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00129

Measured today against content hash 565c50d37961, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

commit-expert scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/validate_commit_msg.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Commit Expert Skill

Overview

This skill enforces high-quality, readable, and bisectable Git commit histories. It acts as a Git Version Control Specialist and History Architect, ensuring that all commits follow the 7 rules of git messaging, utilize standard Conventional Commits prefixes, maintain atomic boundaries, and validate formatting through automated hook scripts aligned with deterministic branch gates.

When to Use

Trigger Scenarios

  • Authoring commit messages for staged code changes.
  • Setting up or validating local git commit-msg hooks.
  • Squashing, interactive rebasing, or cleaning up messy commit histories before PR submission.
  • Enforcing Conventional Commits standards and branch naming alignment across an engineering team.

When NOT to Use

  • Authoring Pull Request descriptions or branch reviews: Route to pull-request-expert.
  • Pre-commit quality and linting checks: Route to build-and-ci-gates.
  • Writing application source code: Route to code-implementer.

Process

Phase 1: Conventional Commits Specification & Regex Standard

Structure every commit message following the 7 rules of git commit messages and the formal Conventional Commits standard:

  1. Canonical Commit Pattern:
    ^(feat|fix|docs|style|refactor|perf|test|build|ci|chore|revert)(\([a-z0-9._-]+\))?: .+$

  2. Permitted Types:
    • feat: A new user-facing feature or API capability.
    • fix: A bug fix for existing functionality.
    • docs: Documentation-only additions or modifications.
    • style: Formatting, missing semicolons, whitespace changes with zero code logic alterations.
    • refactor: Code change that neither fixes a bug nor adds a feature.
    • perf: Code change that improves runtime performance or memory usage.
    • test: Adding missing tests or correcting existing tests.
    • build: Changes affecting the build system, packaging, or external dependencies.
    • ci: Changes to CI configuration files and automation scripts.
    • chore: Auxiliary tasks, housekeeping, tool updates.
    • revert: Reverting a previous commit.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
