triage-deployment

triage-deployment is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from JimmyPaolini/codebase. It costs 179 tokens per session (6,520 once invoked), scanned C, original, MIT.

Diagnose and fix failing GitHub Actions CI workflows in this codebase. Use when a CI check fails on a pull request or push, when you see red checks in GitHub Actions, when asked to fix CI, debug a workflow failure, or investigate a failing job. Accepts logs pasted directly in chat OR retrieves them automatically via…

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00179 $0.06520
Opus 5 $0.00089 $0.03260
Sonnet 5 $0.00036 $0.01304
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00652

Security

Grade C, and why

triage-deployment scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Hidden instructionshighPrompt injection

Directives inside HTML comments, invisible characters or bidirectional overrides are read by the model and not by the person reviewing the file.

Triage CI Failures

Diagnose failing GitHub Actions workflows in this codebase, map errors to their root causes, read the relevant configuration, apply targeted fixes, and verify locally.

When to Use

  • A CI check is red on a pull request or push
  • The user pastes GitHub Actions log output and asks for a fix
  • A gh run or workflow URL is provided for inspection
  • Asked to "fix CI", "debug the failing check", or "triage CI errors"

Step 1: Obtain the Logs

Option A — Specific logs provided in context

If the user has pasted log output or given a specific run URL in $ARGUMENTS, fetch only that run and skip to Step 2:

# e.g. https://github.com/JimmyPaolini/codebase/actions/runs/12345678
gh run view 12345678 --log-failed

Option B — No logs provided: fetch ALL failing runs for the current PR

When no logs are provided, list all failing checks on the current PR and retrieve logs for each. Work through each failure in sequence — do not stop after the first fix.

# List all failing checks on the current PR (name + run URL)
gh pr checks --json name, state, link \
  --jq '.[] | select(.state == "FAILURE") | "\(.name) \(.link)"'

Parse the run ID from each link (last path segment of the URL) and fetch its logs:

gh run view <run-id> --log-failed

For each failing run, fetch its logs:

gh run view <run-id> --log-failed

Process all failing runs before moving to Step 4. Each failure may require a separate fix — apply them all before verifying.

Step 2: Identify the Workflow and Failing Job

Match the log header against the known workflows:

Workflow name Job name Trigger
🧑‍💻 Lint Codebase lint-codebase push / PR / manual
🧑‍🔬 Test Coverage test-coverage push / PR / manual
🧑‍⚖️ Validate Conventions validate-conventions PR (opened/sync/edited) / push to main
👮 Audit Issues audit-issues issue opened/edited/labeled/unlabeled
🕵️ Scan Security scan-security push / PR / weekly schedule

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

triage-deployment is a skill published in the GitHub repository JimmyPaolini/codebase (0 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 179 tokens to every session and 6,520 once invoked, about $0.0009 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it C with 1 finding (hidden instructions). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
