pr-description

pr-description is a skill for Codex from jkomyno/.dotfiles. It costs 37 tokens per session (682 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for drafting or revising the written description of a GitHub pull request. It bases the description on the repository instructions, templates, commits, final code changes, and checks that actually ran.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to prepare an evidence-based pull-request body for projects outside Composio, either as a draft or for an explicitly requested update.
Why use it?
It prevents pull-request summaries from overlooking important changes or claiming verification that did not happen.

Written for Codex: agents/openai.yaml present. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00037 $0.00682
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00341
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00136
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00068

Security

Grade A, and why

pr-description scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

PR description

Describe the change a reviewer must evaluate. Keep the body aligned with the final committed diff, the repository template, and verification that actually ran.

Establish the boundary

  1. Inspect all Git remotes, the repository path, and local instructions before drafting.
  2. If the project belongs to Composio or is a fork or checkout of a Composio repository, stop using this skill. Use composio-pr when it covers that repository; otherwise follow its local guidance.
  3. Draft only unless the user explicitly asked to create or update the live pull request.

Proceed only after confirming that the repository is outside Composio and whether the requested output is a draft or a live change.

Gather evidence

  1. Read repository instructions and every applicable pull request template, including templates under .github/PULL_REQUEST_TEMPLATE/.
  2. Establish the exact base and head. For an existing pull request, prefer its live GitHub refs and committed diff over stale local tracking branches.
  3. Read the commit list, diff stat, and full diff. Check the final working tree so uncommitted work is not described as shipped.
  4. Read the linked issue or user request when available.
  5. Record user-visible behavior, public contract changes, migration needs, risks, and verification results. Treat skipped or pending checks as missing evidence.

Finish this pass with every planned claim traceable to the diff, issue, or observed verification output.

Write the body

Honor required headings and checklists from the repository template. Within that structure, include only material that helps review:

  • Lead with the concrete outcome and motivation when the motivation is not obvious.
  • Describe behavioral and contract changes, using exact domain names and code identifiers.
  • Explain migration steps for breaking changes with verified before-and-after usage when useful.
  • Report only checks that completed, with commands or check names precise enough to identify them.
  • Add issue links, screenshots, rollout notes, or risk notes only when they apply.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
